Dear Sir/Madam,
.- National Foundation for Communal Hamrtlry {NFe f-I) observes-{ommunal Ilarmony
Campaign Week every year from 19' to 25" Nbvember. The last working day of the week is
observed as the Flag Day ofthe Foundation. This year also the Foundation will observe Communal
Harmony Campaign Week fiom i9* to 25* November 2022 and the Flag Day will be observed on
25'n November 2022 (Friday). While the Communal Harmony Campaign Week spreads message
ofpeace, harmony and National integration, it is also utilized for fund raising to enhance resources
ofthe Foundation to carry out its activities on various schemes and projects.
2. The main activity of the Foundation is to provide financial assistance to children rendered
orphan or destirute in communal, caste, ethnic or terrorist violence for their education and
rehabilitation under Project 'Assist'. The Foundation also takes up social, cultural and
educational activities in collaboration with various partners for promotion of peace, unity
ancl hannonv in tlic country.
3 The Foundation does not receive regular financial support from the Government. The
Memorandum olAssociation (MoA) of the Foundation provides lbr collection of donations
from different soirrces for supporting destirute children and for carrying out its activiries.
Every year, the Foundation mobilizes resources through voluntary contributions during
Communal Harmony Campaign Week.

observing Communal Harmony Campaign Week and Flag Day 2022 in your organization,
for collection of maximum contribution on voluntary basis. You may take steps as outlined
in the cnclosed Annexure-Y. All donations to thc NFCH are eligible for 1007o
exemption from Income Tax under Section 80G (2) [iii (e)] of the Income Tax Act,

Annexure Y
Steps fbr observance of 'Conununal Harmony Campaign [teet aqd Elag Day 2022'
The following steps are required to be taken fbr observance of the Communal Harmony
Campaign Week & Flag Day 2022:
(i) Celebration of Communal Harmony Campaign Week & Flag Day 2022 may be
observed under the prescribed guidelines of the Government of India pertaining to
COVID-l9 pandemic issued from time to time.
(iD To do campaigning and provide wide publicity tbr sensitizing officers and staff and public
as a whole about the need for lostering communal harmony, National Integration and
fraternity. Keeping in view the COVID-19 pandemic, effective use may be made of social
media, web based seminars and activities etc.
(iii) To make arrangemenrs for ciriulation of fund collection boxes - wooden, plastic or
metallic boxes rnay be improvised with suitable openings to insert the donation.
(iv) To select volunteers tiom amongst staff to station themselves at the entrance and other
vantage points and go around the office buildings on the Flag Day for distribution of flag
stickers and collection ofvoluntary donation.
(v) To make suitable arrangements for proper security of collection boxes, opening them,
counting the amount so collected and sending to NFCH-
(vi) Remittance of funds so collected should be made through Demand Drafts/cheque in favour
of'Secret . National Foundat ion for Communal Harmonvt and sent it to Secretary,
