DISCOVER YOUR CAMPUS

Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Idstein, Cologne, Munich or Wiesbaden? Which city should your studies take you to?
With us, you can study at one of seven locations across Germany.

BERLIN
Federal capital, political and fashionable center, living history, a diverse
cultural life: That is Berlin. In recent years, the city has developed into the
fastest-growing start-up hub in Germany, especially in the creative industries
and the technology sector. The international environment, its science-related
infrastructure and the proximity to federal ministries and organisations attract
many companies and start-ups.

DÜSSELDORF
Whether it‘s the shopping street „Kö“, the old town, the media harbor, or the
largest Japanese community in Germany – Düsseldorf has a lot to offer. Stu-
dying in the city is also attractive because it is one of the leading locations for
advertising, telecommunications, fashion, and management consultancy.

HAMBURG
The metropolis on the Elbe and Alster rivers is one of the most attractive
cities in Germany – so it‘s no wonder that many people want to live, work
and study here. And once you‘ve made friends with the city, it‘s hard to leave.
As the second largest city of Germany and its long history as a port city and
trade center, the city shows a diverse mix of industries, such as civil aviation,
renewable energies, IT, technology, creative industries, life sciences as well
as logistics. In recent years, Hamburg has also developed a thriving startup
community.
7

IDSTEIN
The picturesque town center with its half-timbered houses, cobblestone
streets, cozy cafés and restaurants invites you to linger and chat with fellow
students. Situated in the beautiful natural surroundings of the Taunus, the re-
gion around the old Nassau residence town also offers many opportunities for
outdoor activities. And if you are drawn to the big city, you can quickly reach
the Rhine-Main region with the cities of Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, and Mainz.

COLOGNE
Studying in Cologne means immersing yourself in vibrant life. Because there‘s
always something going on here. Cologne is an open-minded, multicultural
city of millions and one of the most important business locations in Germany.
Insurance companies, media companies, biotech and pharma industry, car
manufacturers and the chemical and food industries are among today‘s major
employers and offer a wide range of job opportunities especially for enginee-
ring and business graduates.

MUNICH
Munich ist one of the most livable cities in Germany and a great place for out-
door lovers thanks to its proximity to the Alps. In addition to the media and
creative industry, you find a wide range of job opportunities in the automotive
and engineering industry. Finally, with its many internationally active compa-
nies, Munich is one of the strongest economic engines in Germany.

WIESBADEN
With its historic buildings and many green oases, Wiesbaden is a city with
a guaranteed feel good factor. The chemical and pharmaceutical industry is
of great importance for Germany, the federal state of Hessen and the city of
Wiesbaden. The city offers great opportunities and prospects in this field.
The chemical and pharmaceutical sector in Hessen generates around 23%
of industrial turnover and provides 15% of industrial jobs in Hessen. It also
offers an exciting corporate structure - for example, a very active start-up
scene, which we support. There are also many medium-sized companies,
service providers and agencies as well as other exciting professional
opportunities.

the student community.

ASTA
Our General Students’ Committees (AStA) are very committed, and regularly organize events,
such as the summer and winter festivities, parties, and the popular football competition Frese-
Cup which is held annually at one of our campuses. Also, the orientation days for first semester
students are organized by AStA. Here, students can get to know city and campus and meet fellow
students. The AStA is also responsible for:

→ Representation of interests of the students towards the university, ministry, media

you. I also joined the Buddy Program during my first semester.

professional journey far from home, the support structures
in place at the university have been pivotal to my success.
From the moment I began considering the move, the Inter-
national Office was there, offering guidance on everything
from visa processes to housing. Their ongoing support
has been a beacon, illuminating my path in Germany and
making the daunting seem manageable.

The Career Development Office has similarly been instru-

mental in aligning my aspirations with the German job mar-
ket. Their personalized resume adjustments have opened
doors to numerous opportunities, including internships
and career days that brought me face-to-face with industry
giants. These interactions weren‘t just informative – they
were transformative, providing a firsthand glimpse into the
corporate world and preparing me for what lies ahead.

WHAT MAKES THIS STUDY PROGRAM SO SPECIAL?

In the bachelor’s program International Business Management (B.A.) all modules are taught in English to ensure that
you are fully equipped to work for international companies based both in Germany and in other countries. In addition to
a broad know-how in business and economics, during your studies you focus on intercultural management and digital
transformation. You gain in-depth knowledge of how economic, political, or legal developments influence entrepreneuri-
al decisions. And you learn to create business concepts and strategies with respect to these influences.

Furthermore, you can opt for an internship in your forth or fifth semester. You can also choose to extend your studies
and use the additional time to complete a long-term internship between your sixth and seventh semester.

You choose two specializations from a wide range of options to specialize in specific fields of international business
management. Your choice depends not only on your goals and interests, but also where you want to spend your fourth
and fifth semester. You can complete the specializations „International Management“ and „Marketing Management“
in Germany at Fresenius University of Applied Sciences if you are an international student. However, you also have the
option to complete each of them during an integrated semester abroad at Pace University or Adelphi University in New
York/USA, Shanghai University in China, Asia Pacific University in Kuala Lumpur/Malaysia, University of Technology in
Sydney/Australia, Universtat Autònoma de Barcelona/Spain, Griffith College in Dublin/Ireland or London Metropolitan
University in London/United Kingdom. This way, you can study in three countries without losing any time. The tuition
fees for our partner universities are already included in the tuition fee.*
17

Whether you work in design, management, or as an entrepreneur, if you want to learn how to operate in an economi-
