Food

Food

Food is something that we eat to give our bodies energy. Food can come from plants, animals, or
fungi. It has things that our bodies need to grow and stay healthy, like vitamins and minerals. We
eat food to help us grow and stay strong.

Different animals eat different things. Some animals eat only plants, some eat only meat, and
some eat both. Humans eat both plants and animals. We are called omnivores. We can eat many
different kinds of food.

We often cook food before we eat it. Cooking makes food taste better and easier to eat. We get
most of our food from farms and factories. These places grow and make a lot of food for people to
eat.

Food is important for our health. But sometimes, food can make us sick. That's why it's important
to wash our hands before we eat and to cook food properly. There are people who work to make
sure our food is safe to eat. They check food to make sure it's not going to make us sick.

Food is a big part of our lives. It helps us grow, stay healthy, and enjoy life. We should be thankful
for the food we have and try to eat healthy foods.
