FRits Vink frits was born in the Netherlands graduated in Industrial design at the university in The Hague and graduated in Design at the art academy in Arnhem. After this he worked for the NASA to develop and design new products for the space industry. Soon frits Vink started his own design office to design products for the consumer market. His innovative designs were successfully presented at international design fairs and exposed in museum of art.

This multicolor image became an icon in every interior. The idea behind this clock is to give you a sentimental moment of recognition with a sense of humor. salVatoRe aiello Salvatore Aiello was born in 1981 in caserta (Italy) where he still lives. Passion for project and curiosity motivated his self-study of industrial design after graduating as a surveyor. Salvatore is a freelancer. Since 2005 he has designed different types of products for some local companies. His designs are characterized by the right combination of function and irony.

DinG3000 ding3000 is a team of three young designers who got to know each other during their studies in Hanover. After working for different studios such as Vogt&Weizenegger and Marcel Wanders, the designers Sven rudolph, carsten Schelling and ralf Webermann started the design studio in 2005.

Means of transportation are travelling around the world. The slow ship is the hour hand, the airplane is the minute hand and the fast sky rocket is the second hand.

Stallingas wide range of products is conceived as a whole of which the technical, functional and materiality of the objects are related and fused together. The clocks designed by Stallinga, such as focus, Quispel and clockwork are clear examples of this. These quirky wellconsidered differences set Stallinga apart.

our history

In 1970, Hans and Hannie frie (yes, the parents of our current ceO, Alain) established the company, Alma. During that time the clock industry was highlighted by beautiful hand-made mechanical clocks. Alma was acknowledged to be among the best in the world with their collection of typically Dutch mechanical clocks like zaanse, english table clocks as well as with french style comtoises and planetarium clocks, examples of fine craftsmanship. The outstanding craftsmanship and strong designs of Almas mechanical clocks and of its exclusive brand christiaan Huygens soon received international recognition.

This small, family-owned Dutch company was soon selling clocks around the globe, including japan and u.S.A.. When Alain joined the family business he started at the bottom, literally speaking. He worked on the production floor, which was located downstairs from the main office. He learned every aspect of making a clock. As he was going through all the aspects of his parents clock making business he realized that the clocks industry was rapidly developing and shifting focus from the traditional mechanical clocks to strong contemporary clock designs. It was the beginning of the transformation from Alma into the company, as we know it today, NeXtime.

from the start of NeXtime worked with designers who brought creativity to the collection of clocks that have made a signature mark on the company it has evolved into today: glass clocks like Spinning Time and Test Page, everlasting designs like, Plug Inn, and one of our trademark clocks, beauty with its mechanical movement in a contemporary design, designed by our founding father: Hans frie. After seeing the ANzAS Dance Studio in beijing, he was convinced by his idea. To use the grid of dots, a print can be placed on the glass without losing its clock-function. The dots generate a 3D effect and with the contrast of the background, the numbers seem to float and the end of the hands seem to dissolve.
