✅ Part 1 – Short Questions

Q1. On which occasions do people dance in your culture?
In my culture, people usually dance at weddings. Dancing at weddings is considered a way to
celebrate happiness and bring joy to both the couple and the guests. For example, in my brother’s
wedding, there were traditional dances and modern performances, which created a lively and
cheerful atmosphere. Dancing not only entertains people but also symbolizes blessings for the
newlyweds.

Q2. How do you feel about watching professional dancers performing?

I like watching professional performances, especially ice dancing. It is a sport that requires
flexibility, balance, and a lot of strength. I really admire the skaters, particularly Sunghoon,
because he combines both athletic skills and artistic expression. For me, ice dancing is not only a
sport but also a form of art, where performers tell stories through their movements. Every
performance makes me feel amazed and inspired.

Q3. How do you feel about foreign culture?

Personally, I think every country has its own unique cultural identity. Each culture is colorful,
diverse, and very interesting. Whenever I learn about a foreign culture, I gain more knowledge
about that country’s history, traditions, and lifestyle. For example, in Japan, there is the tea
ceremony, which reflects respect, harmony, and mindfulness. Learning about these traditions
makes me appreciate the beauty of cultural diversity around the world.

Q4. What role do cultural activities play in your life?

Cultural activities play an important role in my life because they help me relax, connect with
others, and better understand traditions. Taking part in them also makes me feel proud of my
heritage. For example, attending festivals or traditional ceremonies reminds me of my childhood
memories and strengthens my sense of belonging to my community.
Q5. What foreign festival do you like?
I really like the Mid-Autumn Festival. Although I am an adult now, this celebration still holds
many special memories for me. When I was a child, my mother used to buy me a lantern so I
could join the parade with other kids. The festival also had games, small prizes, and lots of
sweets. Even now, whenever the Mid-Autumn Festival comes, I still feel happy and nostalgic,
because it reminds me of the joy and innocence of my childhood.

✅ Part 2 – Long Turn

Q1. Describe a wedding you have been to or heard about.
I would like to talk about my brother’s wedding, which took place last year. It was held at a
beautiful hotel on a sunny day. The venue was decorated with fresh flowers, lights, and a big
stage. The bride wore a stunning white wedding dress, while my brother wore a black suit. Many
guests also dressed formally in elegant clothes.

The ceremony started with speeches, followed by music and dancing. The most touching
moment was when my brother and sister-in-law exchanged rings and became husband and wife.
Everyone clapped and cheered, and I felt extremely happy. I couldn’t hold back my emotions
because it was a very special day for our whole family. The wedding was not only romantic but
also full of love and joy, and it left me with unforgettable memories.

Q2. Describe a cultural event or celebration you saw.

I once attended the Mid-Autumn Festival in my hometown. This event is mainly for children, but
adults also enjoy it. The activities included lion dances, lantern parades, singing, and traditional
games. Children carried colorful lanterns, and everyone shared mooncakes and sweets.

The atmosphere was cheerful and lively, and the streets were full of lights and music. I felt very
happy and excited because it brought people together and reminded me of my childhood. The
festival also made me appreciate the beauty of Vietnamese traditions that focus on family, joy,
and community spirit.

✅ Part 3 – Discussion
✅ Part 3 – Discussion (1 phút mỗi câu)

Q1. How important is it to preserve cultural traditions?

I believe preserving cultural traditions is extremely important. First of all, traditions reflect the
history, identity, and values of a nation, so they help people understand where they come from.
They also connect different generations, because when we celebrate festivals or practice
customs, young people can learn from the older ones. Moreover, traditions bring people together
and create a sense of belonging in the community. Without them, society might lose part of its
uniqueness and become less meaningful. Therefore, I think keeping cultural traditions alive is
something we should all pay attention to.

Q2. How can cultural exchange benefit society?

Cultural exchange brings a lot of benefits to society. It allows people from different countries to
learn from one another, which helps to reduce stereotypes and misunderstandings. For example,
student exchange programs or international festivals give people opportunities to experience new
traditions, food, or art forms. This makes societies more open-minded and tolerant. Another
benefit is that cultural exchange can support the economy through tourism and international
cooperation. In short, cultural exchange encourages harmony, creativity, and better relationships
between nations.

Q3. Do young people care about traditional culture nowadays?

In my opinion, young people nowadays have mixed attitudes toward traditional culture. Some of
them are really interested in it, especially when cultural activities are presented in modern and
creative ways, such as through social media or festivals. However, many young people focus
more on global trends like K-pop, fashion, or technology, so they may not care much about
traditions. I think schools, families, and communities should encourage young people to take part
in cultural events and explain the value of traditions. This way, they can appreciate both modern
life and their cultural heritage at the same time.
