Color Scheme
• Group of colors based on their
placement on the color wheel
Complementary

• Two colors directly across from each


other on the color wheel
• Example: red and green
Analogous
• A group of colors that are side by
side on the color wheel
• Example:
yellow-green, green, blue-green
Split complementary

• A color plus the two colors on either


side of its complement
• Example:
blue, red-orange, yellow-orange
Triadic
• Three equally spaced colors on the
color wheel
• Example:
red, blue, yellow
Monochromatic
• One hue plus different shades and
tints of that color
• Example: red, light red, dark red
Warm
• Colors that range from red-violet to
yellow
• Example: red, orange, yellow
Cool

• Colors that range from yellow-green


to violet
• Example: blue, green, violet
