While

summer is full of refreshment and vacations, it is not a time in which we can slack off on our mission as a church. At Ashland, our goal is to capitalize the ministry opportunities that summer presents. It is a time when our neighbors are outside working in their yards and walking with their families. It is a time when we find ourselves by the pool, sitting at the park, and enjoying the ball field.

Surrounded by lots of people who need to hear about Jesus, we must see all these times and places as God provided opportunities to ADVANCE our mission as a church.
Our Advance 2012 Summer Schedule helps us take advantage of these opportunities to ADVANCE the good news of Gods love for us in Christ throughout the Madison County area. This schedule is a tool for you and your family to use to connect to what God is doing at the Ashland Mission this summer.

May 6: Advance Prayer Time, 7pm May 13: Mothers Day-No Sunday night activities May 20: Community Cookout May 27: Memorial Day weekend No Sunday night activities June 3: Advance Prayer Time, 7pm : June 10: Community Cookout June 17: Fathers Day-No Sunday night activities June 24: Church-wide Picnic in Richmond after morning worship; Advance Prayer Time, 7pm July 1: Church-wide Picnic in Lexington : July 8-13: VBS July 15: Advance Prayer Time, 7pm July 22: Community Cookout July 29: Advance Prayer Time, 7pm August 5: Advance Prayer Time, 7pm

Advance Prayer Time: Times of worship, encouragement, and intentional prayer in light of the ministry God has called us to in the Madison County area. Church-wide Picnic: A laid-back time of fellowship with our church family on a Sunday afternoon at a local park after worship.

Community Cookouts: At members homes placed strategically in Madison County to not only allow fellowship with other members but to provide opportunities to intentionally invite friends and family who need our ministry. Each member is asked to attend a cookout closest to their home and invite friends.

VBS: strategic mission opportunity to minister to children and families throughout the Madison County area.
