1. Introduction to Topic
In 1900, 39% of total earth surface was covered with forest which dipped down to 21% in 2010. Rapid industrialization and unstoppable urbanization has increased the carbon emissions. Glaciers of Arctic and Antarctic are matter of few years. Very soon the coastal areas will be under water. India contributes 5.78% of worlds total greenhouse gas emissions and ranks 3rd. Gandhinagar being a capital and planned city is always famous for being green. A typical service class city is now facing a conflict between rapid urbanization which we had noticed on western outskirts of city and GREEN.
RESEARCH PROPOSAL

This research would try to find out the level of awareness regarding any products greenness i.e a green consumerism approach, starting from its manufacturing to its disposal and recycling. (if possible)

3. Research Objective To find out citizens awareness regarding green products. To find out the consumer preference for green products. To find out the various alternatives used for carbon products. To find out various disposal and recycling( if any ) measures taken by citizens To find out the constructive measures taken to save environment.

4. Proposed Methodology
A stratified random sampling along with convenient of 4 sample groups (age basis) each consisting of 150 samples which counts 600. 13-25 26-40 41-55 55 and above

Also 150 samples would be collected as in 5/sector. Questionnaire would be filled either by email or personal approach Sample would be collected in convenience so that it could represent total population of Gandhinagar.

5. Expected Contribution
Following outcomes are expected: Can serve as a reference for scholars studying GREEN FEASIBILITY. Government can use the findings and conclusions for drafting various green projects and policy for the city and district. Newly formed Municipal Corporation can channelize funds from various schemes like JNNURM and NURM for waste disposal and recycling. Can work as business possibility survey for any entrepreneur looking to open a waste disposal and recycling business. It is part of small part I, Kosha Vasavada can play towards society, nation and world and can try to make earth as green as before. 3
