Tip: If you have a question when you're going through a module, write it down right then so you don't forget!
Go through each module in the FanBox classroom. It's a great idea to make a note of anything you don't understand or have a question about. When you have gone through each module, notify the person that gave you the link that you're ready for your Client Center or if you have questions or need additional training on any subject, this is the time to ask. A recipe for failure is to fly through the modules and then get your Client Center. Go at your own pace, there are no blue ribbons for being the fastest person ever to go through the modules. How can you help clients if you don't fully understand how FanBox works? It's easy to learn and it's far better you go in knowledgeable.

Would you click this ad? Does this ad tell you what you will find when you click it? The title is not written in title case. The image doesn't tell you what the ad is about. The text of an ad is always written in proper sentence form. This ad text isn't even a sentence. The search terms do not relate to a post about a chocolate chip cookie recipe. Will you find a cookie or a beauty queen when you click this ad?

This is an ad for the same post. Your reader can see the title, written in title case, tells you it's a cookie recipe and it promises to be delicious. There is an image of a cookie that looks delicious and the text of the ad, written in sentence form, says this delicious cookie recipe can be made fast and easy. Your potential reader clicks and stays on your post because they know what they are getting.

Before you begin-Check the Ad Language Get a copy of Ad Standards at the link below so you can discern immediately if an ad is within FanBox current standards. Ads not within standards must be rejected. Ad moderation is part of being a SC and helping our clients write ads that get clicks is part of what we do. Here is how to moderate an ad in just 5 easy steps. Check the language that ad is advertised in. The language of the ad should match the language of the post. What if the language doesn't match? You will have to reject the post After an ad has been published, the language designation cannot be edited. Always let your clients know the reason when you reject the ad. It's a good idea to take a screen shot of the ad to show your client so they can check their language too. 9 times out of 10, it was just overlooked. If the ad language matches the post you can move on to the Ad Title .

5-Moderating Foreign Langage Ads

FanBox now allows ads in 75 different languages. Just like for English language, check the language designation. If the language on the ad is set to Romanian, the post should be in Romanian. If the language is set to Urdu, the post should be in Urdu. If not, reject the ad. Once you have verified the language designation is correct, move on to the post and ad. When you moderate an ad for a language you do not speak, simply look at the post and ad to discern if there are any inappropriate photos or obviously bad language. Look at the ad image and deem whether or not it is an image that meets ad standards, just change it if not. You can cut and paste a paragraph of the post into Google Translate and hit language detect if you're not sure of the language. It will also translate the paragraph into the your chosen language so you can see what the post is about to choose a proper image. For the ad text, just look for obvious bad language or links to outside sites. For the search terms, unless they are written in the language designation of the ad, delete them. A foreign language ad should not have English language search terms. And that's it, you're done!

About Search Terms in Posts Blogs do not have search terms, posts do. Search Terms (tags) must be relevant to the blog post. Your post's Search Terms (tags) can be edited at any time and will update when the edited post is published. By clicking on the "Need Ideas" button in the "Produce" tab of the Dashboard, you can view a list of the most popular Search Terms in your country. The Search Terms you choose help readers find the posts that are relevant to them. When you publish a post on FanBox, that post is shown automatically to all your friends and your fans AND people you don't even know based on the search terms you choose. Search terms that you choose for your post will be rated by other FanBox members when they CAR your post.

You can import blogs from Blogger, WordPress, and TypePad. Each post has its own unique URL. This URL can be found at the bottom of each post. You can include links in your posts; to other blogs on FanBox or to any website that does not violate FanBox standards.

6- Blog Earnings
Earning from Blogs You earn for the time people spend enjoying your posts. You do not earn from every single person that reads your blog post, but rather a sampling of all your daily traffic. That's why ads and good search terms are such valuable information to learn. Clients who aren't earning usually have issues can be traced to one or a combination of the following: 1- The client's search terms are not driving the traffic to their blogs. Yes, popular search terms generally come with a higher cost per click on ads so it necessitates a higher daily budget - but the rewards are usually better. 2- The client's posts are too short to hold the reader's attention, are not interesting or both. 3- The client isn't using ads or is not choosing good search terms in those ads. You have to have 1,000 clicks just to get your ad off the 0.00% in the ad graph. Choosing popular and relevant search terms will usually result in better performance on posts and ads. You do not make money asking others to visit your blogs via FanBox mail. You do not make money asking others to spend time on your posts in exchange for visiting their posts. You do not get paid for each and every visitor that visits your blog posts; your earnings are based on the overall engagement that your posts create compared to others' posts.

Currently FanBox only supports videos from YouTube. Images may be uploaded to your blog posts, but doing so may delay publishing if the image needs to be approved. If an Ad has been taken out on the post with an image that needs approval, approving the ad will publish the post. Auto Play Videos in Blog Posts If you'd like a video to play automatically in your post, add "&autoplay=1" (without quotes) after the YouTube video code when inserting the video in your post. To have background music only, set the size of your video to 3x3 pixels and the video won't show, only the audio will play.

Boosting
What is Boosting? When you invest in someone, you are investing in all of their existing Ads (even Ads promoting other people's posts) and all Ads that point to any of their blog posts. By Investing you are simply funding Ad clicks that were not funded by the person that created that Ad. Where Does the Money Come From to Boost? Money must mature for 90 days after the earning month before it can be Boosted Paypal may be used to top up accounts for Boosting, the minimum top up is $10 however a Boost portfolio may be started for as little as $1 with a maximum of $100,000. Western Union is another way to top up. In countries such as Pakistan, Syria and Egypt, this is the only alternative to Paypal for Boosting.

Boosting Basics There are two kinds of Boost investments. Simple (FanBox controls) Advanced (You control) You can use the "Simple" option to make your Investment available to fund any Ad on FanBox. For Advanced Boosting, you can choose to Invest in specific people, people that create posts about a certain Search Terms or people that support a certain cause. You can even invest in yourself. If you choose to invest by knowledge area, the list includes your areas of interest and popular knowledge areas By selecting the "Automatically Reinvest" option, FanBox will automatically invest returns from that portfolio when they mature, using the original settings.

The suggested return range is based on recent returns experienced by Investors and gives you an idea of where your return requirements need to be for your Investment to be utilized. Your minimum return requirement and who or what you choose to invest in determines whether your investment ends up being utilized. To maximize the chance your entire Investment is utilized, choose the option to let FanBox control the return your receive. The lower the amount of return you ask for, the greater chance your money will be utilized first before others. For example, if you and I opened a Boost portfolio on the same day and you asked for 110% return and I asked for 150% return. Boost would utilize your portfolio and then move on to the next and may or may not get to my portfolio. At the end of each day, whatever return percentage Boost is at, every portfolio that was utilized will enjoy that return amount. So if it started with you and ended with me on that investing day, you would get a 150% return too! Pausing/Restarting a Boost Portfolio You can pause an investment at any time but you must wait up to 48 hours for any funds that have not already been utilized to be available to you. You can restart your portfolio once the system has finished utilizing your money. Your investment amount will be held in pending status in your FanBox bank until utilized or until you pause your portfolio (up to 48 hours after pausing). Funds that are pending for an Investment are unavailable to be utilized for Ads or other portfolios.

You can delete a portfolio any time

Categorizing and Rating

2-What Does a Good Ad Look Like? 4- Ad Daily Budget and Funding 5- Ad Stats Blogging

Categorizing and Rating (CAR) is a great way to earn ad credits on FanBox. What's so great about ad credits? They can be spent immediately on ads to earn more on FanBox!

3-Fast and Easy Ad Moderation

How Does Categorizing and Rating Work? You rate how well a post relates to the search terms used to describe it. You can help categorize a post by indicating which of its Search Terms the post is primarily about. You help to determine the quality of the post by rating it's quality for those Search Terms that the post is primarily about. A posts quality, determined through the categorizing & rating actions of the community, determines it's position in search.

1-FanBox Ad Spending/Ad Earnings

2-Reading FanBox Bank Data Site Knowledge Teacher You're Done!

How Do You Get Started Categorizing and Rating? Go to the green "Start" tag and visit the Genie. The fastest way to find posts to categorize & rate is via the Genie. You set a goal for the amount of points you want to challenge yourself to earn and attempt to hit that goal. Goal points do not equal ad credits, however you will earn ad credits for categorizing and rating through the Genie or by categorizing and rating the post of your own choosing on FanBox. How Does FanBox Know How Well You Categorize and Rate? The system creates a CAR score for you based on every single categorizing and rating activity you do.

Your CAR score is private and not shared. To determine your CAR score the system looks at how closely your ratings are to other, very smart, readers.

Where Do You Go on a Post to Categorize and Rate?

Earn More from CAR? The activity that earns you the most from Categorizing & Rating is entering a relevant, correctly spelled Search Term suggestion (tag). You may enter up to 100 search term suggestions on a post and those suggestions are visible to only you and may help or hurt your CAR score depending on how relevant they are. The more successful you are at other money making areas on the site the higher your CAR earnings will be. Therefore when you're categorizing and rating for ad credits, you should also be producing (blogging), promoting (ads) or boosting. People with low scores will earn very little from categorizing & rating. People with high scores will earn more from categorizing & rating.

Here is an example of how simple Categorizing and Rating is.

You can agree or disagree what the post is about and teach FanBox how to better serve up posts when members search for information on the site. A green check is that you agree the term fits the post and a red x means you do not agree that search term is relevant to the post. Once you make your choice, you will be asked to rate the search term on a scale of 1-10 (1 is the least and 10 is the most relevant).

Coaching
What is a Success Coach? A Success Coach (SC) is the person that helps other FanBox members try out and learn the Knowledge Roles on FanBox so they can graduate and earn double profits. Among the clients who graduate,we look for people who will enjoy Success Coaching as much as we do and invite them to take the same test and training you're taking now. In order to graduate, a client must : categorized & rate at least 10 posts do at least 1 blog post do at least 3 approved ads boost at least $1 have 3 friends have 100 fans $200 all time earnings What are double profits? Doubling your profit isn't doubling your earnings its merely profits. If you would have spent 20 on ads and normally would make 25 from that then $5 is your profit so then it would double your profit so instead when you spent 20 you would then make 30 making 10 off your ads. Blogging you don't pay anything to blog so there aren't profits to double. In boosting it also gets doubled, because you fund your portfolios. We are here to answer questions and help our clients (FanBox members) learn how the site works. We represent FanBox on and off the site and we keep the vibe of community positive. The number one things we do with our clients is build rapport. It's not fake or phony, we are here to help and you should be interested in every single client you get. Exploring Your Client Center The percentages at the top of the "My Clients" page show the percentage of the Clients that you have received in the last 90 days that have completed each step in their Progress Bar The "Last Communication" column in the "My Clients" page shows the last time you sent a message to that Client and how many of the Client Rapport Questions you have filled out The "Progress" column in the "My Clients" page shows which steps towards Graduation each of your Client has completed. To see details for what each of your Clients needs to do to complete each step towards Graduating, roll over the progress arrows at the bottom of any message with that Client. The rows in the "My Clients" page turn yellow if: that Client has submitted an Ad that you have not yet moderated, has sent you a message that you haven't read, or if you have not recently sent a message to that Client.

2-Client Rapport
Most Import! Client Rapport Client rapport is what FanBox wants the most. We want each FanBox member to get a personalized experience. There's a lot of great technology on FanBox, but the human factor each Success Coach brings is one of the most special parts of the program that know technology can replicate, at least not yet. The Client Rapport Questions are the 3 questions that appear to you at the bottom of every message with one of your Clients. These questions are the basis for your Coaching relationship with each Client. Only you can see the notes that you take for each of the Client Rapport Questions. Once your Client Graduates you can nominate them to become a Success Coach by clicking the "Nominate" button inside of any message with that Client. Just roll over the last progress arrow to find the nominate button. Changing your Welcome Letter to clients. Make short and sweet to get a fast response. When the Welcome letter goes out, your client is live on FanBox either doing an ad or specifically requested a Success Coach. Don't send long cut and paste letter, it's far better for the client to research a greeting from you thanking them for letting you be their SC and let them know you'd like to get to know them better so you can help them reach their goals on FanBox. Be genuine because ultimately, that's why you're a Success Coach. You cannot establish rapport with clients who don't respond. Contacting them within 24 hours (or faster) of receiving that first "Welcome" email is vital. Here are some other ideas for contacting clients who do not respond. Check the client's wall, are they active on the site? Comment on their posts or congratulate them on their earnings! Try Messaging with just a short note about earning double profits when they graduate. Have they set goals themselves? Write them and offer help hitting those goals. Find a post that they wrote Responding within themselves message them telling 48 hours is vital. them how you relate to that post. Find common ground with your client.

3-Ad Moderation
Approving Ads See the Ad Moderation Module if you need tips for moderating ads. To access and approve the Ads that a Client has submitted, click the number in the "Pending Ads" column of the "My Clients" page As a Coach, you should attempt to approve as many of the Ads submitted by your Clients as possible. If the Ads that you moderate as a Success Coach have errors or are irrelvant to the post they are Advertising, you may removed as a Success Coach. All Ads moderated must have 5 points checked after you determine the ad meets Ad Standards: proper language designation. title done that makes sense in title case, if not correct it. image that reflects what the ad is about, if not change it. ad text should tell what the post is about and use proper grammar. No title case and have punctuation at the end of the sentence. If not, correct it. ads should have at least 4 Search Terms that are relevant to the post and not be longer than 3 words each To reduce errors when approving Ads, it is recommended that all Success Coaches use a browser with spell check built in, such as Firefox or Google Chrome. For your clients: Teach Before Rejecting, clients cannot improve if you don't show them what's wrong. Helping clients improve ads by using screen shots and screenr videos. Foreign language ads - be sure the ad language chose matches the post. Rejecting ads does not count against you unless you reject when it should have been approved

4-Goal Setting
Goal Setting It's important to build trust with each Client so that you can effectively coach them towards achieving their goals. Both you and the client can see the goals. If you see a client has set their goals, this is a great opportunity to talk to your client and find out how fast they want to reach their goals. There is a fast path and a slow path to earning/graduating on FanBox. Fast Path or Slow Path to Graduating? There are two paths to graduating. Fast path. Boosting is the fastest way to graduate and will put anyone on the fast path to graduating and earning double profits. Combine regular Boosting of small portfolios with the slow path method, or a single larger Boost amount to graduate as quickly as possible. Slow path. This takes longer for but clients who live in countries where Paypal isn't readily an option and they do not want to deal with Western Union, this is their other path to hitting goals. If they stay motivated and do the slow path daily they will graduate to double profits. Here are some ideas for the slow path - never promise an absolute but it's okay to say daily activity will bring results if they stay motivated. Categorize and rate at least 20 posts daily to earn ad credits. Most clients see results in 7-10 days. Put up one good post per day, something with images and or videos that is in a subject the client feels passionate about. Being an expert in a subject is one of the best ways to find success on FanBox. Choose good search terms that are popular yet relevant to promote that post to help drive traffic. Using ad credits to fund ads and also putting up an ad for every post and letting Knowledge Investors fund until ad credits are raised to fund their own ads. Creating ads with good search terms to drive traffic. Check "utilize entire daily budget" box to maximize earnings. Using the Genie to create ads on the posts of others funded by Knowledge Investors is another way to add earnings to their slow path plan. Here is what the Goal area looks like, it is at the bottom of every client email:

5-PowerTeam
You're a member of a PowerTeam and you will eventually have your own PowerTeam of 4 SCs under you. Your Power Team should consist of no more than 4 Success Coaches (both the PowerTeam you're on as well as the PowerTeam you build). When you have a PowerTeam It will be your responsibility to monitor your team of coaches to ensure their communications with clients are timely (within 48 hours) Watch their ad moderation rate doesn't fall below 90% the first 30 days and then maintains at least 85% after that. You will do weekly QC reports on your coaches by picking 3 random emails with clients and looking timely responses, good information and anything that needs to be worked on training-wise. Also compliment and let your team know when they are doing a good job! You will look at your team's spreadsheet to help them see clients nearest to graduating and follow up to make sure those clients were contacted. Your PowerTeam is located in a different area than your Clients in your Client Center.

I know you're busy exploring FanBox right now, but I wanted to thank you for letting me be your Success Coach. When your client graduates, you should know your client well enough to know from doing their ads, and communicating if they will be a good fit for the Success Coach Program. Reporting Issues When a client has problems with FanBox. Troubleshoot their problem first to the best of your abilities. NEVER tell a client "I don't know". You have time to get an answer, go to your PowerTeam leader if you're dealing with an issue you've never had before. Get something to go back to your client with, no client deserves to hear "I don't know" from a SC. Turn issues that need research by FanBox into your HeadSC and document it. Follow up - Note issues you have not received a status on as to whether resolved or not on your Monday report. Check with your client on Sundays or Monday mornings to see if their problem is still an ongoing issue, turn it in on the Monday report for a status update if so. Many times issues will resolved and the client won't let you know.

2-Language Barriers with Clients

The majority of clients on FanBox will have English as a first or second language. However there are many clients that would enjoy having a Success Coach that speaks their preferred language. Clients who choose a Success Coach are offered to chose a coach in one of 75 different languages. However, if a coach isn't available that speaks the language the Client prefers, they may be assigned to you. If you cannot find a mutual language to communicate in, try Google Translator. Click the link and try it now. http://translate.google.com/ . Hit your "Back" button to return to this page when you're done. Simply type a message, go to Google Translator and choose the language you want the language to appear in. Copy and paste and send to your client. Many, many SCs have used this method successfully. What if the Client Does Not Respond? In the case of a client who is unable or unwilling to communicate with an SC due to language barriers. Talk to your PowerTeam leader about finding a placement for that client so they can thrive on FanBox and communicate easier.
