CHAPTER I

PRESENTATION

The present Manual of Organizations and Functions (MOF) is a document of


institutional management that aims to establish and describe the functions
basic and specific, the requirements and the relationships of authority as well as the
coordination of the positions or jobs established for the service
ophthalmological.

The organization and functions manual establishes responsibilities and


attributes of the positions indicated in the table for the assignment of
personal, whose compliance contributes to achieving strategic objectives and
functions of institutional bodies.

ORGANIZATION AND FUNCTIONS

OBJECTIVES

The Organization and Functions Manual aims to describe and


establish the basic functions and the specific functions at the job level and
general functions established in the Organization and Regulation
Functions, as well as based on the established job requirements in
the staff assignment chart.

It includes all the staff working at the ophthalmology center which


contributes to achieving all service objectives

The present manual is supported by the following legal provisions.

CHAPTER IV
DESIGN CRITERION

The bodies and organic units contemplated in the


current organization and functions regulation.
If the principle of specialty is applied for the functional formation of
the units in order to integrate the functions for the positions that
perform the staff and eliminating the duplication or overlap of
functions.
Competencies and responsibilities have been established for
organic units with the purpose of evaluating the effectiveness of
performance and the degree of compliance with the functions delegated to the
lower levels and be able to make decisions responsibly.

constantly updating while maintaining a balance and flexibility of

CHAPTER VI

GENERAL MANAGER

1. BASIC FUNCTION
Plan, organize, direct, suspend, and evaluate all activities
administrative tasks of the ophthalmology service, as well as comply with the
norms and legal provisions of health.

2. SPECIFIC FUNCTION
2.1 Lead the multidisciplinary team responsible for implementation
and management of the agreements made within the organization.
2.2 Coordinate permanently at different levels for service provision
timely and quality according to the regulations.
2.3 Implement an information, education, and communication plan on
the current regulations according to those established.
2.4 Implement a control system for monitoring supervision,
monitoring and evaluation of goals and quality of services

SPECIALIST DOCTOR IN OPHTHALMOLOGY

BASIC FUNCTION
Provide medical care through highly clinical and surgical means
specialized and comprehensive to ophthalmology patients in consultations,
internal controls.
2. JOB RELATIONSHIPS
2.1 Internal relationships: It depends directly and reports to the

fulfillment of his duties to his boss, coordinating actions with others


health professionals regarding assistance work and coordinate with
the nurse for patient care.

4.1 Provide specialized medical attention in ophthalmology with
