1. Introduction

Oracle AI Agent Studio is a comprehensive design-time environment that empowers organizations to

create, configure, validate, and deploy Generative AI (GenAI) features and AI agents tailored to meet
specific business needs. This fully integrated solution within Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications provides
secure and seamless access to knowledge stores, tools, and APIs, enabling direct deployment of agents
into business workflows.

Navigation Path: Navigator → Tools → AI Agent Studio

2. Monitor and Evaluate AI Agents

2.1 Overview

AI Agent Studio now provides comprehensive monitoring and evaluation capabilities that allow
organizations to track agent performance, understand usage patterns, identify common errors, and
measure overall effectiveness in real-world scenarios.

2.2 Accessing Monitoring and Evaluation

Navigation: AI Agent Studio → Monitoring and Evaluation tab

2.3 Key Capabilities

• Interaction Tracking: Monitor all agent interactions and conversations

• Usage Pattern Analysis: Understand how agents are being utilized across the organization

• Error Identification: Identify and analyze common errors and performance issues

• Performance Measurement: Evaluate agent accuracy and effectiveness metrics

• Real-world Usage Insights: Gain insights into actual deployment performance

2.4 Prerequisites

• Access to AI Agent Studio (see Section 4: Access Requirements)

• Appropriate monitoring privileges configured

3. AI Agent Workflows

3.1 Workflow Overview

AI Agent Studio introduces predefined workflows that represent business processes as connected
sequences of nodes. Each node performs specific functions and passes output to subsequent steps,
ensuring predictable and structured automation.

3.2 Workflow vs. Hierarchical Agent Teams

Feature Workflows Hierarchical Agent Teams

Execution Order Fixed, predetermined sequence Based on LLM reasoning and context

Predictability High - follows strict order Variable - depends on AI decision-making

Use Case Business processes requiring strict execution order Complex reasoning tasks requiring flexibility

Control Deterministic Adaptive

3.3 Workflow Node Types

Workflows support various node types including:

• Data Extraction Nodes: Extract and process data from various sources

• Business Object Nodes: Interact with Fusion Applications business objects

• LLM Nodes: Execute large language model operations

• Email Nodes: Send communications through integrated email systems

• Custom Action Nodes: Perform specialized business logic

3.4 Creating Workflows

Steps:

1. Navigate to AI Agent Studio

2. Select "Workflow" as the agent team type

3. Configure the predetermined sequence of nodes

4. Define input/output relationships between nodes

5. Test and validate the workflow

6. Deploy to production environment
