Information about PTPTN Loans & Application Procedures

1. Eligibility Applicant must be Malaysian Applicant must not be recipient of other loans or scholarships at the same time SPM with at least 3 credits Applicant should enroll in an IPTS that offers a full-time degree or diploma course that is approved by LAN and JPS For students applying for a second time, loans extended previously by PTPTN must be fully settled prior to a fresh application Remainder of study period upon application must not be less than 1 year

2. Programmes Eligible for PTPTN loan Programmes that are eligible to apply PTPTN loan are: Diploma in Nursing Diploma in Hotel and Catering *

3. Online Application As of August 2007 all application will have to be done online. You are requires to visit PTPTN website at www.ptptn.gov.my and at http://epinjaman.ptptn.gov.my for registration.

4. Online Processing The dateline for July application is on the 30 October 2007. However kindly log into the website for any latest information. All online application date will be process after the said dateline and applicant can check the status of their application 3 days after the closing date.

5. Submission of Documents Once your application is approved kindly print out the following form(s) for submission: Print out 1 copy and 3 photocopy of Surat Tawaran Pinjaman, Surat Akuan Penerima, Surat Kebenaran 1,2,3 and 4 Print out 1 copy and 3 photocopy of Perjanjian Pinjaman Print out 1 copy and 3 photocopy of Surat Jaminan

Kindly submit the above forms with the following document(s): 4 X RM10 stamp hasil Photocopied I.C. ( both sides ) Letter of Acceptance from Lincoln College . (Will be provided by the institution) SPM and STPM/A-Levels/UEC/SAM/AUSMAT/CPU/CIMP/Local Matriculation / Recognised Diploma's results A photocopy of the first page of applicants bank account passbook (Bank Islam Bank only) Parents Borang B / Pay Slip (2months)

All photocopied documents and PTPTN Declaration form can only be certified by: Pengetua / Guru Besar Sekolah (Sekolah Kerajaan Sahaja) Penghulu/ Penggawa/ Tuai Rumah/ Ketua Kaum/ Mukim Bertauliah Pengawai Kerajaan Kumpulan Pengurusan dan Professional (dahulunya Kumpulan A). 6. Amount The amount approved is based on your parent/guardians monthly income. Loan amount to be allocated to each applicant is subjected to PTPTNs approval as listed below: (a) RM4,001 and above Tuition fee only TBA RM47,200 (b) RM2,001RM4,000 Partial loan TBA RM47,200 (c) RM2,000 and below Full loan TBA RM47,200

7. Submission of Applications PTPTN will confirm the date for submission of applications and Lincoln College will inform students on the set date via the student's Lincoln College email. Please note that the submission will take place whereby the representative from PTPTN would visit Lincoln College to check, verified and collect all your documents. Also please ensure that you bring along your MyKad for verification purposes.

8. Final Processing According to PTPTN once your document is in order the first disbursement will take place 7 days from the receiving date of your application. Kindly take note that for future disbursement PTPTN will announced in their website. Students are advised to be prepared to cover their own tuition and accomodation fees till PTPTN disburse loan.

9. PTPTN Disbursement & Academic Performance PTPTN will stop disbursement under the following circumstances: Deferment of studies Failure to complete their studies within the designated time frame Poor academic performance

9. Loan Repayment Subject to a 3% service fee per year charged on the outstanding loan amount. Repayment of the loan starts 6 months after graduation or as soon as you have found employment (whichever is earlier). Usually the repayment period for diploma 120 months (10 years). The repayment can be made to LHDN by deduction from salary through the employer.
