Governor Bombit Adiong And Provincial Board Members Province of Lanao del Sur Capitol, Marawi City Dear Brothers and Sisters, Assallam Wallaikhom Warahmatullah. First of all, we would like to introduce ourselves, The Basa.Iranaon Group also known as The Agama.Niyog.Society 2.0. We are Iranaons from Ranao, Iranuns from Sabah, Malaysia and Iranons from Maguindanao-Cotabato-Basilan area. We are organized and hosted at FaceBook.Com. Our mission statement is "To Preserve, consolidate and strengthen the Bangsa Iranaon by talking about our history, culture, music and arts and by speaking in our own language". We believe that the first step to meeting the challenges before us today and tomorrow is understanding who we truly are as a Bangsa. We are writing to ask you, our elected and traditional leaders, to pass a local legislation for a province-wide annual holiday celebrating our transnational Malandi a Bangsa and remembering and honoring our own heroes. The name and date of the holiday can be decided during the deliberation of this proposal. We are suggesting the following of activities in the holiday celebration.

1. Telling the history of our Bangsa at different timelines based mainly on our own accounts.
The Pre-Islamic Bangsa, The Coming of the Shariefs, The Spanish Era, The immigration to Sabah, Malaysia and Indonesia, The American period, The Peace Time, The Japanese occupation, The PreMartial Law, Post People-Power Revolution. 2. Remembering and honoring our heroes, like Amai Pak Pak, Senator Ahmad Domocao Alonto, Sultan Rashid Lucman, Uztad Abdul Aziz Mimbantas and our living heroes and achievers in Ranao, Cotabato -Maguindanao-Basilan area and Sabah, Malaysia. 3. Inviting our Iranun brothers from Sabah, Malaysia, Indonesia and Iranons from CotabatoMaguiindanao-Basilan area as guests of honor. 4. Kalilang, including katharo sa lalag, bayok, sagayan, kashandagan (Stand-up Comedy). 5. Arts and historical artifacts exhibitions. The holiday celebration will culminate in a "State of the Bangsa" address by the local government and traditional leadership. Please consider this letter as our sponsorship of a local bill for the creation of the holiday.
