1,666 Uploaded by ScorchGD on Nov 27, 2011 Hello everybody, and all you science furs out there in TV land, ScorchGD here pr esenting a mysterious device originally invented by a Mr. Edward Leedskanlin tha t he called a "Perpetual Motion Holder". Which is an electromagnet that continues to hold a load after power is disconnec ted! That's right folks, an electromagnet that continues to hold it's load after powe r is disconnected! As you can see here, the knife switch is in the off position and there is only a slight, residual magnetism in the electromagnet. But, when I connect the coils to the battery, it then becomes a very strong magn et that holds this load and, as you can see, the magnet is now strong enough to not only lift its own weight but most of the weight of the particle board, switc h, and lead acid battery. So far this is a normal operation of an electromagnet which is a device commonly used to pick up scrap metal then release its load by shutting off power. But THIS is where I am now going to defy the laws of physics by shutting off pow er but continue to lift the load of the magnet, board, switch and battery. As you can see the power is off but the electromagnet is STILL HOLDING! In fact I have now seen this effect continue for several days and there is no en d in sight! So, to all you physics gurus out there, can you explain this? HOW does this work? Doesn't conventional science say the magnetic field is suppo sed to collapse after power is disconnected? This demonstration makes it clear there is still some form of magnetic current f lowing or expanded magnetic field which remains after power is disconnected. How does THIS fall within the laws of physics? But WAIT, this demonstration is not over! As you can see here, I have installed a 10mm LED on the other side of this knife switch. What will happen if I connect these coils to the LED then break the flow of magn etic current simply by pulling the load off the electromagnet? Did you see that? A VERY bright flash of energy! I will do this again, charge the electromagnet, switch over to LED and BAM! Here we go again . . . BAM. As you can see here, after the magnetic current flow has been broken, the electr omagnet is no longer holding its load and there are no bright, energy, flashes f

rom the LED. And, as you can there are no external wires underneath and this is simply a piec e of particle board. So, YOU tell ME, does modern science have an explanation for an electromagnet th at continues to hold a load after power is disconnected? Excerpt from http://www.leedskalnin.com/LeedskalninsPerpetualMotionHolder.html Researchers have continued to be interested in this device because it defies nat ural laws of physics and is unexplainable by conventionally excepted electromagn etic theory. Modern science says it is impossible, but Edward Leedsklanin's theo ry says it is simple, natural, and that it's workings are misunderstood because there are some important aspects of modern science being taught in schools that are wrong. Perhaps more intriguing than the ability to store energy indefinitely, the Perpe tual Motion Holder can act like a living thing; and because it operates on the p rinciples of a theory with a sound base of understanding, Leedskalnin is able to use this device as a real working depiction of the atom and the earth. Througho ut his writings Leedskalnin subtly points to a lack in a base understanding in a ll branches of science, but is quite thorough in his disparaging of J.J. Thomson 's electron invention. Coils used are off-the-shelf 24VDC coils cannibalized from a Maytag Dishwasher S olenoid Valve part #901948 mounted on an off-the-shelf 3/8" round, steel, bar fo rmed into a "U" shape. battery is 1.2 AH 12 volt. Switch is radio shack part #27 5-1537 and white LED is off my shelf originally from a surplus supplier and I th ink it's actually an 8mm LED and not a 10mm LED.
