1. Presentation
The 1st Spanish Internet in the Classroom Congress now has its virtual equivalent, a meeting point for the educational community who are interested in the use of ICTs in the classroom. This website seeks to continue to be a space for the dissemination and exchange of good educational practices in which ICTs are the main protagonists. Educ@conTIC Among the activities undertaken within the Educacin en Red programme, red.es, in association with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism and Spain's regional governments is undertaking a number of courses of action with a view to supporting the full integration of Information & Communication Technologies (ICTs) within education, including the installation of infrastructures within schools, developing quality digital educational content, a repository for digital educational objects, the production of teacher training materials etc. All these courses of action are aimed at schools which are financed with public funds under the general non-university regimen and special regimes, as well as at teacher training centres and university-based teacher training programmes.

2. Positioning
Positioning entails developing a value proposition and a distinctive image, allowing it to occupy special place in the mind of the target public. Positioning refers, therefore, to the place occupied by Educ@conTIC in the professional and personal activities of current and potential users. If this position is already occupied by another proposition it will be difficult to capture the attention of the target public, meaning that the value proposition should seek to offer something exceptional and avoid comparisons with the other propositions on the market. Ideally, the proposition should be sufficiently striking that it stands out above the rest and appears to be inimitable, placing obstacles to the entry of new competitors or the repositioning of existing competitors. Similarly, the solid, consistent positioning that Educ@conTIC has achieved from the outset clearly sets it apart from other propositions, an asset which should be maintained and defended. This is the conclusion that must be arrived at on the basis of current Educ@conTIC traffic data and this traffic is the result of elements which are of interest to the target user.

In order to improve this positioning as far as possible, efforts are being made to strengthen these links with teachers, through a more active presence in social networks. The number of social networks in which Educ@conTIC is currently present has risen to 12, participating actively, chatting, collaborating etc.

3. Editorial line
Educ@conTIC's editorial line is pursuing a number of objectives: Structuring and developing the potential of the website in terms of its tools-related content, offering a practical information service to teachers. Strengthen the vision and relationship that education has with areas such as new narratives and digital culture. o Pave the way for the projection of business experiences and products related to the sector. o Strengthen content curation with two secondary objectives: Provide users with summaries of website movement during the period in question. Provide added value to other publications that will view Educ@conTIC as a partner in the dissemination of their material. o Seek out formulas and implement campaigns which make it possible to increase the participation of Educ@conTIC users.

Google +
Launched in mid-2011, this is Google's answer to Facebook. It has recently passed the 100 million-user barrier, although interaction is still yet to take off.
