BOXN ROH SHED
NKJ ROH Shed is one of the biggest ROH Sheds of Indian railways.
hepresentROHshedwasestablishedonMarch25,1995.In2007BOXNHLWagons

introduced in Indian Railway & NKJ came out and accepted the challenge of
maintenance of BOXNHL rake examination & ROH. With covered accommodation of
150 X 50 m ROH is presently given a target to roll out800ROH schedules per month.

NKJ Yards.
● CurrentlyNKJDepothasaCCRakeholdingof135+2BTAPrakes(asper
FOIS).
● Now BOXN Wagons are also equippedwithatwinpipeairbrakesystem,
to fulfill this requirement Twin pipe testing facility is developed at both
examinations Yard of NKJ.

SICK LINES
KJ depot has 02 sick lines namely Old Sick Line & New Sick Line. Old

Sick Line (OSL) was established in the year 1962&NewSickLine(NSL)
wasestablishedintheyear1982tocatertheincreasingnumberofwagons
which were marked sickduringyardexaminationandsenttoSicklinesso
that wagons can be made fit for traffic use. Minor repair, Heavy repair &
wheel changing are being carried out at these sick lines.

Train Traffic:
● Avg. traffic density:86 passenger trains(Up & Down) per day.
● N ominated trains are examined for Rolling-In and Rolling-Out as per
prescribed schedule and Railway Board’s guidelines.
● 28 trainsare examined daily for Safe-to-Run (STR) examination and
watering activities.

● AMC of WILD / DMO started from 10.01.2020.

Online Monitoring of Rolling Stock (OMRS)
● MRS is a safety system used to identify defects & save the rolling

Impact Load Indicator (WILD) & Photographic Wagon Identification
System (PWIS) and one equipment hut.
● It is located near PWK at KM 11124/15-17 in PWK-KHBJ section of
Jabalpur Division.

plate. This device is quite helpful at yard reducing the effort, time & risk
involved while changing the rest plate. Since wagons are in coupled

eases the process of lifting the CBC head by reducing the effort & risk of
accident.Onceitislifted,itstaysinthatpositionuntilthedeviceislowered

can be replaced easily with this device in parallel to the rest plate.
