There is no denying that it is much easier to carry money than a basket of vegetables around to be bartered with, say, rice. Or to carry heavy fruits to pay your bus fare! Now, we have more or less seen both systems. We can now give at least a fairly reliable assessment and produce a fairly correct comparison between the barter system and the monetary system. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each? Let us try. It is metered or measured, their income or sales or wages, while the few amass great wealth which by effect leaves the majority in poverty. How and from where do this few get their wealth? One is being in control of the printing of the money. If you own the printing press or have some say in the printing as well as in the use and allocation of such money, then, you are the first to become rich. With unlimited cash at your disposal (and you let your printing press keep on printing non-stop, day and night), you can buy and invest without limit. And there is the Stocks system of capitalizing a company that has been conveniently created to

allow cash to enter a company, any company. So too is the banking system. So the owner of the cash has the cash, and the owner of the company announces, My company needs this amount to buy this or that machine. Those who have the cash may come and invest or loan to me at certain interest.

What happens overtime? The owner of the cash, such as the privately owned US Federal Reserve, will, overtime, become coowner of almost every business not just in the United States but all over the world! The money printers can establish their own banks to finance the government and business all over the world. And that is what they did with the World Bank and other international banks to finance governments and business. Does this system encourage the development and existence of what will truly benefit and set free the poor masses? Being part owner, even at times majority owner, of Business, the owner of the cash would definitely have a say as to what products or services to

promote or support and who are the borrowers to be supported. If the products will make the children of the poor masses smart and very healthy to the point that the rich majority controller will foresee these children doing things to successfully liberate their parents and themselves from the taxes and other controls that they have been subjected to for centuries, then, the owner of the cash will stop that product or service from being offered to the public. So what really are the products and services approved for mass consumption? Well, you know them. They are not hidden. They are real and can be seen in the stores and markets. All you have to do is list them and assess what kind of products are they. By contrast, schools today, some 30 to 50 years after us, are happy to see 40% of their Grade VI and Fourth High School students pass the exams whose passing rating is, guess how much, not 75% but 50% of the total test score! It is a great shame and grief to see the Philippines always at the tail, often first or second from the last, to be specific, in regular annual international exams in English, Math, and Science. To think that we boast as the most-Englishized foreign nation or Asian nation in the world. We belittle other nations for knowing English less. And we have our teachers of English teaching the Koreans, the Chinese, the Japanese how to write and speak English. And despite of that, we see our young pupils and students come up after tests, as one of the dumbest of all. Well, it hurts but we must face the truth.

To the majority, it appears that this cash system is not beneficial, and so we must start questioning the justness and compassionateness of this system. Is it really just and compassionate?
