Mini Mobile - Your Solar System
For each planet, carefully cut out the front and back pieces leaving the small white border.

This activity kit contains:
1. Make and do activity steps 1 - 5 2. Two template pages Visit http://play.powerhousemuseum.com to download any missing elements.
Cover the back of one side with glue. Place the thread on top of the glue. When cutting the thread leave 40cm length to make tying off easier. Here we show how to use one thread to join the earth and moon together.

Press the two sides together, sandwiching the thread in the middle.
Bind the two skewers together at the centre and tie tightly, leaving a very long end of thread to hang the mobile.
Things you need:
2 x wooden skewers strong cotton or thin string craft glue stick scissors print-outs of templates sticky tape if needed
Tie two planets to each end of the skewers Tie the the sun in the centre and the moon hanging off Earth as pictured. Adjust the weight until its hanging straight.
