Administrative Order No. 161 Institutionalizing Quality Management System in Governance, amended through Executive Order No. 605, Institutionalizing the Structure, Mechanisms and Standards to Implement Quality Management Program RA 9115 otherwise known as Governance of Basic Education Act of 1991 for the Department of Education (DepED) Administrative Order No. 161 DepED Memo No 83, s 2006 Implementation of Basic Education Social Reform Agenda DepEd Order No 114, s. 2010 Adoption of the KRT 3: Quality Assurance and Accountability Framework DepED Order No 118, s 2010 Adoption of the New BESRA Implementation Arrangement Given copies of legal basis and mandates of QAAS, the participants will be able to: explain comprehensively Administrative Order Nos.161 and 605,and all the QAAS mandates; interpret the provisions stipulated in all Legal Basis and mandates of Quality Assurance and Accountability System (QAAS);and adhere to all the Legal Basis and mandates of QAAS

Introductory Activity (10 minutes)

Handouts on QAAS Legal Basis and Mandates Activity Sheet : Session Guide 1 : Introduction Legal Basis Power Point on QAAS Legal Basis and Mandates Reflective Journal Template Present the passage to the participants Good decisions come from wisdom. Wisdom comes from experience. Experience comes from bad decisions. ~ Anonymous Call at least three participants to give their insights about the passage. Directions: 1. Divide the participants into 6 groups . 2. Provide each group with a copy of one legal basis or mandate of QAAS. Group 1- Administrative Order No. 161

Activity (50 minutes)

Group 2- RA 9155 Group 3- Administrative Order No. 161 Group 4- DepED Memo No 83, s 2006 Group 5- DepEd Order No 114, s. 2010 Group 6- DepED Order No 118, s 2010 3. Have the participants brainstorm and share their understandings on the assigned legal basis/mandate. 4. Have each group present their outputs in plenary through creative presentation for five minutes, e.g. panel discussion, role playing, tv/game show, etc. Have participants answer the following questions: 1. How did you feel about the activity? 2. What made your group presentation successful? 3. In a scale of 1-10, how do you rate your group presentation? Why? 4. Why is it important to have a thorough knowledge on the different legal basis and mandates of QAAS? 5. What important things did you get from each of the legal basis and mandates? Present through power point the following : Administrative Order No. 161 RA 9115 DepEd Memo No. 83,s.2006 Deped Order No. 118, s. 2010 Deped Order No. 118, s. 2010 Using the given reflective journal template let the participants write their insights about their understanding on the legal basis and mandates. End the session by : 1.Ask the participants about the legal basis and mandates of QAAS . 2.
