The Denny Holls, Tim Hollsand the Jim Holls get together most years for the Oregon State vs. Cal Berkeley football game. It was in San Francisco this year because Cal's stadium is being updated. The day after the game, this gathering of rst, second and third cousins walked the Golden Gate Bridge, then had lunch at Crissy eld. The bridge walk had been on Denny & Kate's 'to do' list for some time and it was a good day with sail boats and a few harbor dolphins to !

watch.There is a new Disney Museum at the San Francisco Presidio, so that was the next stop with Tim Holl's 'insider' comments making it even more interesting.

Denny & Kate Holl and all their family are just back from Lake Chelan, Washington where Kate's extended family gathered to celebrate her cousin and his wife's 50th Anniversary. Janet & Jim visited Corinne and Dale Holl in April. Their cactus garden was beautiful with lots

of blooms! Janet & Jim were volunteering to index the 1940 census so all of us can nd people alphabetically rather than by the cross street of their residence. Corinne followed suit with dedication and has entered more than 5000 census lines already! Susan came by between appointments with contractors. She has a talent for turning old homes into beautiful properties. Janet & Jim's: June trip to Venice, Rome and around the Mediterranean, including Tunisia, was fascinating as there is so much history to absorb. We particularly like the narrow, winding streets in the oldest sections of towns. It's a good thing Jim has the Holl navigation gene.

Welcome Home Jessica Fowler

From TX to CA
Jessica (granddaughter of Ken Holl through Lura Hunter) returned to Sacramento from San Antonio, Texas for

the summer. She is a warrant ocer over seeing the base equipment and buildings - about 1.5 billion dollars of equipment. She has been in Iraq twice, Alaska, Virginia, Honduras, Germany, Japan, and Korea. She has 8 more years to retire with 22 years of service as a W-4 (warrant ocer 4th level- the highest for warrant ocers). She will also have her BA and desires to teach after the military. She and her husband Ennis plan on staying in Texas for many years to come to raise their expecting child.

I am so excited my Fb family. The doctor took me off insulin and lowered some of my medication. I woke up with 99 blood sugar this morning (optimum range is 85 - 135)! I've been off insulin for over a week. And I have now lost 24 pounds! Thank you all for your encouragement.

Praise God!!!

The Zoo
How many pets do you have?
Julie Morphew has adopted two new ferrets: Welcome Cubby Lil Bear (male) and Sweetie Pie (female) to the Morphew clan. I am extremely excited about the two new babies! We now have two chickens, two dogs, two children, and two ferrets. This makes life so much more interesting. When we come home, it is nice to be greeted with so much love.

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT FERRETS

Male ferrets are called hobs, while females are called jills. Their children are called kits for the rst 7 weeks, by which time they look like adults. All gender names change if they are neutered, the males are then gibs, and the females sprites. The collective noun for a group ferret is a 'business'. Other name for families of ferrets are: cast, or possibly, fesnying. Ferrets make for an interesting and unusual pet. Owners love them because they are

inquisitive while awake, else they just sleep. They are also relatively easy to house train, and can interact ok with other pets such as cats or dogs. 4 Hearing is their most strongly developed sense, presumably linked to their ability to survive underground in nature. Ferret racing is making a come-back in England, it's a popular way of raising money at fetes and craft shows.

Its a Wonderful Life: Hunters

Dustin & Sarrah: We like to share daddys hat. June has been a wonderful month for the Hunters. Brooke celebrated her 31st birthday (6/15) at Benihanas restaurant. The chef cooks the food right at the table. Our chef was very talented. He was able to ip food into his hat and pocket. The family had a blast and left waddling to our cars. Sarrah is adjusting quite well to her new little sister. She doesnt have any jealousy issues. We each take a turn in spending quality time with one another. This month, Sarrah and Brooke went to get a pedicure. Sarrah, being fashion conscious, sat in the seat ready to go knowing which color she wanted.

I dont think Dustin can afford anymore girls.

Dustin nished up his administration position for the year and is nishing the touches of his incoming freshmen program at Laguna Creek High School. He took a Classroom Management class at the end of June to further support teaches in the classroom. He is now enjoying time o by playing with his daughters and supporting Brooke with tasks around the house.
