Balak 2012 Numbers 22:2 25:9.

I.

This Parsha, like last week, has a personal name as its title Balak. It comes wrapped in a unique package (chapter/verse numbers): The Book is Numbers, translated bmidbar, in the wilderness by most, but from the Hebrew it is rendered Bet house/bride, Mem the origin/womb and dabar word. Thus, the House or Bride is brought to the place of the Words origin! The chapter & verse number, 22:2 is indicative of the 22 letters of the Alef-Bet, hinting that in this particular Parsha we will see specific fulfillment of the words spoken to that House/Bride. Lets follow our usual protocol, and examine his name and lineage: Balak, #1111 (11+11=22??) Balaq, it is translated, devastator, to lay waste, to be empty, void. The Bet-Lamed root as an adverb, hints at lack, deficiency, while the Qof, represents the Back of the head, the backside; I.E. the Backside of YHVH seen by Moshe. This Qof also pictures the pillar of Cloud and Fire that Israel has seen daily. Zippor, #6834, Tsippowr, Strongs translates it sparrow, fowl, a bird. The root, Tzade-Pey-Resh, means to chirp, peep, twitter (like a bird, hence the name) this connects us to Is. 8:19 where an admonition against seeking false prophets, wizards and those who peep #6850, tsaphaph, a chirp, whisper, referring to imitative sounds made by spiritualists to consult with spirits. The 2-letter root, Pey-Resh means fruit of the lips, words; the Tzade represents righteousness and is connected to the Ark of the Covenant in the Tabernacle. The gematria of Zippor = 376, the same as Midbar Sinai (Wilderness of Sinai) and Esau! Additionally, it is the value of Shalom! By deciphering these definitions it would seem the generational curse of Zippor that of consorting with the Fallen Ones who would whisper against the Word of YHVH, would birth a son who would attempt to destroy that Word himself! This is the same method used by the Serpent - #5175, to practice divination, to hiss, whisper, from #3907, lahas, Lamed-Chet-Shin, to whisper, charm, enchant, to cast a spell. The numeric value of Nachash? 358, the same as that of Messiah. We

see the parallel in the Magicians against Moshe, the whispers of the nachash demonstrated in their Rods being turned into serpents swallowed up by the staff of Aaron. The word for swallowed, #1104, bala` has the same two-letter root as Balak, Bet-Lamed, hints at lack, destruction, while the Ayin indicates the Eye-gate,

matteh, represented the extension of the Chief One, his virility, man-hood, the source of seed. The Matteh-Aaron, , the
womb! The Rod, #4294, Rod-Scepter, the seed source of the Light/Seed Carrier prevails! If we consider the numeric value of Matteh-Aaron which is 310 and its connection to #6191, `aram, to be shrewd, cunning, it is also the same root as #6175, which means crafty, shrewd, and naked, we see it is the same adjective used to describe the Serpent in Gen. 3: 1. It would seem the Serpent is attempting to counterfeit the High Priests role as the one who would speak the word of YHVH in the Earth. By accepting the serpents word, the Covering of YHVH is removed and Adam/Eve made naked. The method hasnt changed the enemy continues to attempt to make us naked, by getting us to except the covering of flesh instead of Hebrew/Word of YHVH. This was the choice of Abraham in Gen. 13, to accept the Word of YHVH as his covering or to defer to the flesh as did his nephew Lot. It is also quite fascinating that the Sages believe Balak to be a descendant of Lot through the incestuous relationship with his firstborn daughter. Gen. 19:37. The flesh will always manifest itself in sexual immorality, which is ultimately what Balak and Balaam did to Israel. Additionally, it is no coincidence that we have Zippor (which is the root of Zipporah Moshes wifes name) siring a son (Balak) who is uncircumcised - a son who would be estranged from YHVH and cut off for his rebellion. We can compare him to the son of Moshe, #1647, Gershom, foreigner. However, it is from the root of garash, to expel, drive out, divorce and sham, there. He is named such because Moshe is driven out of Egypt and divorced from the House of Israel. Gershom is spared from death when he is circumcised and the blood applied to the loins or doorposts. The gematria of Gershom = 543, the same as

babar Yarden - beyond Jordan, a term used to describe the location of the Land Promised to Israel; Once Israel sets foot in this river the waters/seed of the enemy is cut off and Israel is circumcised at Passover, the time of National circumcision and the Shedding of the Lambs blood. The Sages teach that the blood of circumcision was mingled with the Lambs blood in Egypt! The Hebrew

rendering of B abar Yarden could just as easily be: The Hebrew River (Waters) of Judgment! In this Parsha, Numbers 22:2 reads: And Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites. *Note this word: Amorite. Amorite, #567,

' Emoriy, a sayer. One who speaks. The root word

, to speak, utter. Ironically, if you rearrange the letters it spells Mare, to be perverse or rebellious. You would think Balak could see how Israel prevailed against this group who spoke rebellious things against YHVH and yet he solicits Balaam to speak curses on Israel. This word Emori is the poetic equivalent of Dabar, the promised word, and is most often seen in the phrase, the words of my mouth! The Amorites corrupted the WORDS. Now Balak tries a new tactic. The gematria of the above phrase: Amari Peyi = 341, the same as the word #4744, miqra', convocation, assembly (for the purpose of hearing, reading, his word). The Amorites and later, Balak, attempt to change the Divine Appointments, which would then affect how and what we hear from YHVH! Enter Balaam: II. This ancient enemy begs a close examination: We will look at his lineage as seen in Numbers 22:5. Balaam, #1109, Bil`am, not of the people, the root Bet-Lamed, infers to destroy or a lack or deficiency. The Ayin-Mem root spells people, a deficient people, or To make the People deficient. Balaam would destroy Israel by exposing the deficiencies in their lives. The weak areas of the flesh! Beor, #1160, B@`owr, translated as burning, a lamp, yet, a more accurate definition is seen when we break the word apart: Bet = house; the root Ayin-Vav-Resh, #5786, `awar, to make blind. As in, to blind an officials eyes to injustice by means of a bribe. This is exactly what happens to Balaam! Pethor, #6604, Pthowr, Strongs translates it as soothsayer. It can also mean an interpreter of dreams, to say or speak light! The root Pey-Tav, #6596, pot, can refer to the private parts of a woman exposed in the judgments of YHVH. It is closely related to #6601, patah, to deceive and

thereby seduce one sexually. *Note the Pey = mouth/Words and the Tav-VavResh, the same word used for SPIES in the previous portion where the negative report/word/seed of the 10 spies exposed the Bride of YHVH as a Harlot still. Their deficient, carnal, lusts are exposed! Once again, we see Moshe who represents the Deliverer/Messiah being contested by one who is the Serpents issue/seed, Balaam! The Rabbis say that Moshe taught the Knowledge of YHVH The Tree of Life, while Balaam taught the Knowledge of the Serpent The Tree of Carnal Knowledge. Baal-Peor! III. Numbers 25: 3 shows us the end of this story: And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel. Joined, #6775, tsamad, to fasten or be bound to, to yoke together, to harness or latch onto as the tongue does with deceit! The two-letter root stem, Tzade-Mem, infers thirst, to be in dire need of water! Ironically, the cravings of the flesh can be likened to one who thirsts for sexual gratification, because of this baser craving of Israel, they become inflamed with perversion/thirst and drink from another fountain, well, cistern. Prov. 5:15 Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. The term for cistern, #953, bowr does mean well, but can also indicate a mans wife. It has the same root as Balaams father Beowr! Baalpeor, #1187, , translated, lord of the gap. It also connects us to Paar, to open ones mouth, to gape open. The Pey indicates to speak, while the Ayin-Vav-Resh root hints at a cognate root which can mean to stir, to arouse, to be exposed, made naked, and it can also refer to the skin. It is also related to the Hebrew word 'owr, meaning light. Thus, as Israel lusts after the waters/seed of another, the mouth of the enemy gapes open, further arousing them exposing their nakedness and destroying the Light Garment the Skin of Torah! Baal can also mean lord, husband or possessor. The connotation is that of being pierced (as a husband would do with his wife), possessed or controlled. The worship of this god is connected with defecation, drunken orgies, prostitution, human sacrifice, deviant sexual practices, mutilation, witchcraft, poles, sacred cakes and libations. The word peor is associated with paar which concerns wide opening in relation to other cavities of the body. Baal Peor is not just about one specific opening but all the openings of the body that are corrupted for worship and

sexual purposes. Tractate Abodah Zerah 3 states in the Gemara that the area before the idol Peor was used as a latrine and that the worship of the idol consisted of excrementing before it. Rashi comments on Numbers 25.3 that Peor was so called "because they would uncover before it the end of the rectum and bring forth excrement; this is its worship."
