Bismillahirrahmannirrahim.. Alhamdulillah and praise to Allah, with all his blessing and graceful, finally I can complete this task within the time given. First of all, I would like to thank to my helpful lecturer, Pn. Hjh Ashidah Binti Asnan for her cooperation and guidance in order to fulfill this assignment. Thank you for the clear explanations on how to conduct and finis this assignment. I also would like to thank to my school communities, my headmistress and teachers for their cooperation and willing to help for complete this task. Special thanks dedicated to my family for their understanding and supports. By completing this task, I gain new knowledge and can improve my level of English communication; I learnt many new words and how to choose suitable English words that being used in writing report and essay. Indirectly, my confidence level in using English increase and I become more interested to learn more about this subject.

( iii ) A Precious Moments ( Prize Giving Ceremony at Sekolah Kebangsaan Yamtuan Lenggang & A Visit from Board of Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Najihah )

On 17th November 2011 (Thursday), the Annual Prize Giving Ceremony was held in Sekolah Kebangsaan Yamtuan Lenggang (SKYL), Tanjong Ipoh. This school situated in Kuala Pilah district, which is near to Sri Menanti. This prize giving ceremony is usual occasion at the SK Yamtuan Lenggang. The ceremony started at 11.00 a.m and being held in school hall. There were 17 teachers and 95 pupils of this school involved in this precious event. Teachers had already divided into few teams to ensure that the ceremony will going as well as already planned. Each of the teachers had specific work that they have to accomplish. As well as teachers, school prefects also had their own responsibility which they had to ensure that all the prize receiver were in the correct position. Pupils that come from different spheres like academic, sports and extracurricular activities were given the prizes due to the recognition. Pupils had been gathered at the certain places based on the categories recognition. Other than that, this school also having a visit from the Board of Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Najihah. The visit team from the hospital consists of medical staffs which is few doctors and nurses. We had prepared health screening program for parents who came to see their children receiving the prizes. There are few aims of the activities that being carried out in this school. The first aim is to encourage pupils become more successful through the given appreciation from school and community. Then, the second aim is to strengthen the bonding between teachers and parents through the community event such as health screening program. Thus, by organizing both of these activities, the board of school can attract parents for come to school and screen their healthy level just free of charge. Our health screening program was held at the science laboratory from 8.00 a.m till 11.00 a.m. Here, parents can checked if they had diabetic, high or low blood pressure and other (1) medical checkup. This program also having full support from Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Najihah and they willing to spent time with the communities. About 11.00 a.m, the prize giving ceremony started at the school hall till 1.30 p.m.

Our event had been started with the welcoming speech from the chairman and simple slideshow about few activities that being carried out throughout 2011. Before the prize giving session started, we had a speech from our guest of honor. Todays precious events was attended by Dato Mohd Kamel Bin Dato Haji Mohd Yusof, Board of Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Najihah,Kuala Pilah and he was giving the opening speech for this ceremony. Besides that, we also have visits from Puan Rozita, representative of Pejabat Pelajaran Daerah Kuala Pilah. The given prize activity were separate into few sessions which is it recognize by academic, sports and extracurricular activities. Our guest of honor, Dato Mohd Kamel distributed the prizes to the deserving pupils based on their categories either academic or non-academic. In order to cheer up the events, pupils from year two and three had presented action songs with the medley of Lemon Tree and Brown Girl. Based on my evaluation, the activities those being carried out were successful and running smoothly. Teachers play good role to ensure the events will run as well as already planned. The prizes had been distributed to all the qualified pupils and they happy with what they got. The health program that we integrated with the same day of prizes giving ceremony was really valuable. It is because; we can attract many people to come to our school. After they settled having the free health checkup, they straight went to the school hall for support the prizes giving ceremony. However, 3 hours for the health checkup session were not enough to entertain all the people. There were few parents cannot attend the health checkup because of the limited time. In the other hand, my view about the organization of the event, all of the teachers should have same or equivalent responsible of works. Hence, teacher cannot be so selfish and let the others to settle the works themselves. This is because; the hidden (2) benefit of the organization of events is to enhance the cooperation among teachers and work together as a team. During the events also, there were few pupils absent on that day and they did not receive their prizes. The problems occurred when there were miscommunication between the teachers who in charge the prizes and who in charge

the prizes receiver. The prizes for the absent pupils were not took out from the list, thus there were few pupils did not have their correct prizes. It becomes a little hazy because pupils become restless about their prizes. However, the teachers who in charge the situation took a good action, which pupils who got the incorrect prizes had to give back their prizes to the teachers. In my opinion, there are few ways that can be implementing to improve the events become much better. Firstly, the health program should be extending to few hours. So, many people can take the chance for having free health checkup and communities also can get along with school members. Secondly, we should provide more performances from pupils to avoid the guests become bored. Indirectly, we can develop pupils confidence and find new talents. Thirdly, the organizer should compile all the prizes together if it belongs to same pupils, although the prizes come from the different categories. Thus, the ceremony will become short and do not take too long that made the guests become bored. (948 words)
