3. Select the printer/ the plotter on which you perform network setting via
the attached NetworkConfigurator.
• Select the printer/ the plotter whose network setting you want to edit and double-click on it or,
click the [Select] button.
• When you terminate NetworkConfigurator, click the [Exit] button.
• When you start this application, the list of printers/ plotters on the same one network address is
created automatically.
• In the list, [Machine Name/ Serial No./ IP address (Now)] are displayed.
• If the target printer (plotter) is not displayed in the list, click the [Research] button several times at
regular intervals.
• When you specify the printer with different network address, enter the IP address of the printer in
the [Direct Address] column and click the [Connect] button.
• If the address displayed in the list differs from the network IP address assigned to the PC, it is
not displayed in the Machine List. Use [Direct Address] or use the machine in the network with the
same network address as the printer/ the plotter.

4. Set the network.
• Perform the setting below based on information provided by the in-house network administrator
or the person who configured LAN environment.
(1) Perform the setting related to your network environment, the e-mail server and the e-mail
function.
(2) Click the [Commit] button.

Network Settings
After you change the setting, restart the printer/ the plotter.
Machine Name : The machine name of the main body is displayed. You cannot edit the string.
(Currently, it is not available. It will become available in the future firmware
version upgrade.)
Allocate IP Address : Select whether you use DHCP or AutoIP to allocate the IP address. The
allocation operation is performed in order of priority below:
(1) DHCP (Allocates from the DHCP server existing on the network.)
(2) AutoIP (Address 169.254.***. *** is allocated. The gateway does not exist.)
(3) Manual setting (Manually set IP Address, SubnetMask, Gateway and DNS
Server.)
e.g.) When you enable DHCP: Check DHCP.
When you enable AutoIP: Uncheck DHCP and check AutoIP
When you enable manual setting: Uncheck both of DHCP and AutoIP
IP Address(Info) : Regardless of the IP address allocation method, the current valid IP address is
displayed. (You cannot edit it.)
IP Address(Setting) : When you set the IP address manually, enter the valid IP address.
Subnet Mask(Setting) : When you set the IP address manually, enter the subnet mask of the network to
use in CIDR. Available numbers are 8 to 30.
Gateway (Setting) : When you set the IP address manually, enter the address of the gateway.
DNS Server(Setting) : When you set the IP address manually, enter the address of the DNS server.

Test Mail Transmit button
Sent a test e-mail to check the setting value below. After you click the button, check the receiving result.
If the test e-mail cannot be received...
it is possible that you made mistakes for the setting items or the environment is not available. Contact the
in-house network administrator.
In some cases, an error occurs at sending. You can check the error code by using the test e-mail sending
function of the printer/ the plotter main body.
Reload button
Receive the setting value from the printer again and reflect them on the screen. The password is not read
in.
Commit button
Transfer the setting value displayed on the screen to the printer/ the plotter and enable the setting. If noth-
ing is input in the password, no change is made for the password.
Exit button
Terminate this screen and return to the screen to select the printer/ the plotter.
