CHAPTER 2:
Education for the environment conservation

Introduction:
It is important to understand that taking care of our environment is a commitment of
every inhabitant of the world, the ecological factors represent before, now, and always
a challenge for the human being where it seems that they have a contradiction with
technology, since there is a current inversely proportional between technology and
nature, hence the people who understand the subject have to look for regulations,
norms or laws that regulate the use of these factors so that this does not deteriorate.

Definition:
Environmental education has been defined as
"the permanent educational action by which
the educational community tends to become
aware of its global reality, of the type of
relationships that men establish with each
other and with nature, of the problems
derived from said relationships and its deep
causes.

Objetives:
-Help to acquire greater sensitivity and awareness about the care of the environment,
creating viable solutions for its optimal maintenance.
-To help acquire a basic understanding of the environment as a whole, of the related
problems and of the presence and function of humanity in it, which entails a critical
responsibility.

10 | P á g i n a
-Help acquire social values and a deep interest in the environment.
-Help acquire the necessary skills to solve environmental problems.
-Evaluation capacity Help people and social groups to evaluate environmental
education measures and programs based on ecological, political, social, aesthetic and
educational factors.
-Participation. Help people and social groups to develop their sense of responsibility
and to become aware of the urgent need to pay attention to environmental problems,
to ensure that appropriate measures are taken in this regard.
-Develop responsible attitudes in relation to the protection of the environment.
-Acquire habits and customs consistent with a careful appropriation of the resources of
daily use and means of transport.
-Know the work of the main governmental and non-governmental organizations,
national and international, committed to the global environmental problem.
-Distinguish causes that alter the environment
-Identify the interaction between natural factors and human intervention.
-Recognize the importance of the impact that different economic models have on the
environment

Estrategies:
In order to fully and successfully carry out environmental education programs and also
effectively meet the objectives, it is necessary to carry out the following strategies

Inter-sectoral and inter-institutional coordination: In order for the environmental

education process to have a dynamic, creative, effective and efficient component
within environmental management, it is necessary to carry out a joint work between

11 | P á g i n a
the different sectors (Private and public) and the organizations of civil society involved
in the environmental issue. This is done so that non-governmental organizations and
those belonging to the state can carry out these training processes more quickly.
Inclusion of environmental education in formal and non-formal education: This is
done in order that within the formal education the inclusion of the environmental
dimension in the curricula or curriculum of the basic, middle and higher education.
And non-formal education is necessary to implement environmental education
projects by different entities working for environmental purposes, as these may be
days where awareness, talks, celebrations of days of environmental importance,
among others.
Citizen participation: Through this mechanism, the aim is to educate citizens as a
whole in order to qualify their participation in decision spaces for the management of
collective interests. So through Environmental Education, solidarity is fostered, respect
for difference, seeking tolerance and equity, so it will try to use these characteristics to
solve environmental problems.
Research: This process allows the understanding and the solution, through a deeper
knowledge of the environmental problems, looking for the causes and the effects that
these generate not only in the environment of the man, but also the influence of these
in the activities anthropogenic, so it is argued that research functions as a strategy,
both in the natural, social and cultural fields, encompassing a greater range of
influence to make environmental education more effective.
Training of environmental educators: This strategy favors environmental education to
imply an interdisciplinary work derived from the systemic nature of the environment
and the need to provide the tools of reasoning, content and action from the various
disciplines, the different areas of knowledge and the different perspectives.
Design, implementation, support and promotion of communication and
dissemination plans and actions: This promotes the enactment of environmental
education, with the different current means of communication, such as radio,
television and the network. These means in addition to promoting the transmission of
news and environmental information, also favors the publicity of activities and days
related to care as well as the conservation of the environment.

Enviroment education and children

Help in the development of environmental
responsibility of children to understand and care for
the planet, be aware of the damage that is generated
by pollution and maintain a healthy environment for
all who live in it.

12 | P á g i n a
Conclusions:
The Environment must take care of it and conserve it for the good of the people and of
all the living beings that inhabit our planet. Causes such as the destruction of the
ozone layer, water pollution, carbon dioxide, acidification, soil erosion, chlorinated
hydrocarbons and other causes of pollution such as oil spills are destroying our planet,
but the "cause that causes other causes "we are ourselves.

CHAPTER 3:

I was waitin' in Rosie's Restaurant

When the waiter came up and said, "What do you want?"
I looked at the menu -- it looked so nice
Till he said, "Let me give you some advice"
"Spaghetti and potatoes got too much starch,
Pork chops and sausage are bad for your heart.
There's hormones in chicken and beef and veal.
Bowl of ravioli is a dead man's meal.
Bread got preservatives, there's nitrites in ham,
Artificial coloring in jellies and jam.
Stay away from donuts. Run away from pie.
Pepperoni pizza is a sure way to die.
Sugar rots your teeth and make you put on weight.
But artificial sweetener's got cyclamates.
Eggs got cholesterol. There's fat in cheese.
Coffee ruins your kidneys, and so does tea.
Fish got mercury. Red meat is poison.
Salt's gonna send your blood pressure risin'.
Hot dogs and salami got deadly red dyes.
Vegetables and fruits are sprayed with pesticides."

So I said, "What can I eat that's gonna make me last?"

He said, "A small drink of water in a sterilized glass."
And then he stopped and he thought for a minute,
"Never mind the water -- there's carcinogenics in it."
So I got up from the table and walked out in the street
Realizing there was nothing I could eat.
I ain't eaten for a month, and I'm feeling fine...
'Cause he did not mention
Beer, whiskey, and red, red wine.

AUTHOR: The Curries

The Corries were a Scottish folk group that emerged from the Scottish folk revival of
the early 1960s. The group was a trio from their formation until 1966 when founder
Bill Smith left the band but Roy Williamson and Ronnie Browne continued as a duo
until Williamson's death in 1990.

Early years
In the early 1960s, Bill Smith (born William Smith, in 1936, in Edinburgh), Ron Cruikshank and Andy
Turner had formed a trio called The Corrie Voices. The trio was named after Bill Smith's daughter,
Corrie Smith, but because a corrie is a deep bowl in a mountain, the name was particularly
appropriate as it evokes imagery of the Scottish landscape. After Turner dropped out, In 1962, Roy
Williamson teamed up with Smith and Ron Cruikshank to form the Corrie Folk Trio. Their first
performance was in the Waverley Bar in St Mary's Street, Edinburgh. After a few weeks, Cruikshank
left due to illness. They had already accepted an engagement at the Edinburgh Festival so
Williamson suggested that Ronnie Browne should be brought in to make up the numbers.
The band added female Irish singer Paddie Bell to become the Corrie Folk Trio and Paddie Bell. The
audience was only eight people for the debut of this line-up but by the end of the festival there was
a full house at every performance.

Television
Within a year of formation, they appeared on television. The BBC began a television series set in a
folk club. The resident group on the Hoot'nanny Show was the Corrie Folk Trio. Another BBC
series, The White Heather Club, began in 1958. It featured Andy Stewart, Jimmy Shand and his
Band, Robin Hall and Jimmie MacGregor, and the Corries. While the rest of the show was set in a
studio, the Corries were filmed in location: sea songs were sung in a harbour, and "Braes o'
Killiecrankie" was sung at the Pass of Killiecrankie.

As The Corries
In 1965 Paddie Bell departed, followed by Bill Smith in 1966. In the duo left behind, Williamson was
a multi-instrumentalist while Browne handled lead vocals. They cancelled all engagements for a
few months to practise intensively and, emerging under the new name, The Corries, they
performed at the Jubilee Arms Hotel in Cortachy, Angus.

17 | P á g i n a
1970s
In 1974, the band released the single, "Flower of Scotland", backed with "Roses of Prince Charlie".
The song was quickly adopted by world lightweight boxing champion Ken Buchanan, whose fans
sang it on his entering the ring. It was then taken up by supporters of rugby football as the
unofficial national anthem and is still used at Scotland's rugby internationals. "Flower of Scotland"
has since been adopted as the national anthem at international Association football or "soccer"
matches. The duo became closely identified with Jacobite songs, celebrating the final years of clan
loyalty and military courage. The 1977 album, Peat Fire Flame, saw the group move towards love
songs and celebrations of the landscape.

1980–1990
Roy Williamson suffered from asthma and before a series of concerts he would deliberately cease
treatment to provoke attacks and gain temporary immunity. During the Corries' 1989 tour,
Williamson's health went into decline and he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. He spent his last
years living in Forres, close to where he spent his school years. He died on 12 August 1990.
Ronnie Browne continued recording and moved into acting, as well as expanding his painting
career. He toured as a soloist for a few years after Williamson's death, and even released a solo
album, but never reached the same level of success that he achieved as part of the duo. He has
now retired from performing, but occasionally sings "Flower of Scotland" along with the crowd at
Scottish rugby or shinty matches.
Paddie Bell continued to make solo albums following her departure from the trio, most notably
with Irish musicians Finbar and Eddie Furey, but withdrew from the folk scene followed by a period
of dependency on alcohol and anti-depressant medication. In the 1990s Bell, with the help of
several friends and fans on the folk scene in Edinburgh, revived her singing career with new
recordings and became something of a celebrity again. She died in 2005 aged 74.
In December 2007, The Corries were inducted into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame at
the Scottish Trad Music Awards in Fort William, promoted by concertina virtuoso Simon Thoumire's
Hands Up for Trad organisation.

CHAPTER 4:

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson have a new case to solve: that of
the Baskerville hound.

Everything begins with the death of Sir Charles, supposedly by a

heart attack, although his relatives think that it is by the legend of
the bloodhound of the Baskerville, according to which an ancestor
of the Baskerville was killed by a hound when it passed through
the moors.

Sir Henry, the new heir of the Baskerville house, is looking for Sherlock
Holmes to investigate the strange death and discover what lies behind it.

Holmes and Watson investigate the case and discover that Stapleton, a
supposed friend of the family, was a descendant of the Baskervilles and
would inherit the house if Sir Charles and Sir Henry died, and using the
legend as a reference, he bought a hound dog and left him free to kill Sir
Charles.

The same thing would happen to Sir Henry if it were not for Holmes
and because Stapleton's wife did not want to help him any more with
his evil plan.

Finally, Stapleton manages to escape, but surely ended up sinking in

the swamp .

find out why they were doing it and who was doing it. After a day he discovered that Pearson
had found a black cat the day before his death. The black cat is very valuable, they say it is
made of gold and diamonds, but they hid it with black paint, so nobody knew.

Salahadin, thanks to the clues and information he found over the

course of the days, discovered that Pearson's killer was called
Brokman. He was a smuggler of antiquities. But when I managed to
find him with the help of his friend Fuad, he could see that there was
another car following Brokman. During the persecution, they rode in
the mountains. Suddenly they heard a loud crack. The two smugglers
had an accident on the Ba'albek road. Salahadin went to the cars. The

and decided to enter the room thanks to the key he got, on entering he observed that there
was a box on top of the shower he took and it was the black cat. In moments he observes that
someone pointed him with a gun and it was Peterson.
Peterson takes him to the deck of the ship, the two fought. Peterson fell into the sea. When
Salahadin entered Athens, he told the police everything and they believed him.

The black cat was handed over to a museum in Cairo where it would be
recognized as the ANKUTEN TREASURE. . After all they discovered, that
the Black Cat was not made of gold or diamonds, but it was very
valuable, because it was more than two thousand years old.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote 60 mystery stories featuring the wildly popular detective
character Sherlock Holmes and his loyal assistant Watson.

Synopsis
On May 22, 1859, Arthur Conan Doyle was born in
Edinburgh, Scotland. In 1890 his novel, A Study in Scarlet,
introduced the character of Detective Sherlock Holmes.
Doyle would go on to write 60 stories about Sherlock
Holmes. He also strove to spread his Spiritualism faith
through a series of books that were written from 1918 to
1926. Doyle died of a heart attack in Crowborough, England
on July 7, 1930.

The lost world was my favorite reading because the book is an

incredible adventure. It is very entertaining, the journey to the
truth about the existence of the pterodaptyl that Challenger
claimed, the exploration of the jungle found, the encounter
with the pterodactyl and other types of beasts, the encounter
with the monkey man, the exploration of the cave near Lake
Gladys, the war against the monkeys men was my favorite
part, and the return to the city to make known the existence of
the pterodaptilo, very good story.

History teaches me, that you never

have to give up, and follow the
proposed dreams, until you reach
your goal.
