In this short film poster the poster is laid out the way an conventional film poster is with a large picture of the characters put together in a sort of collage this may possibly be screen shots from the actual film and is photo shopped into a pencil/ sketch affect this could be to portray the characters in a different light. The poster itself also I think also hints towards the film being low budget or fairly amateur, this is I think because the colours are fairly flat and there is only the characters shown. As well as this I personally dont like the poster either as the actual short film is a comedy spoof but to me nothing in the poster illustrates this and could hint towards I think more to the drama genre. Overall I think the short film poster differs from feature film posters as it looks amateur with how it is presented.

ACROSS THE HALL

These two are two different posters for across the hall, the right one is for the short film and the left is for the feature film. They both differ as the left is very photo shopped and collages together all the different characters which are probably taken from the actual film as screen shots. However the right has its main picture also from a screen shot it is much less packed and has a dynamic picture which illustrates what the film may be about by the expression on the mans face. However the left you can tell is a thriller as the poster itself is very tense and full with strong use of colour from lights to dark giving a sense of the atmosphere as well as the expressions on the characters faces which adds to this. Looking at both posters side by side you can tell which may have a higher budget and which had a lower I think this may be because of the way the poster is laid out on the left and you can see different settings. Whereas with the right it has one setting with only two characters shown which can hint to there are not very many characters or if there are their may only be two main characters. Overall I think the two posters differ in the way they are presented mainly as one is kept minimalistic and the other is very full and relates to the film itself as it is fast paced and tense.

This poster is implying that the genre for this movie is typically a romance film as there are only two characters shown who are shown together and happy which is typical of this sort of film.

This poster is typical of a Sci-Fi movie as it shows a world that is different from the one we know and also characters that are fictional which is again typical of this genre.
