Rashmi Bansal is a writer, entrepreneur and youth expert. She has authored two bestsellers namely, Stay Hungry Stay Foolish and Connect The Dots. An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, she has worked with Times of India Group and is currently with JAM Magazine in Mumbai.

Have A Dream is the story of 20 inspiring social entrepreneurs of India. There is a belief that principles of management can and must be used to achieve a greater common good. Change starts with one person, and that person could be someone next door. Someone like you.

Mr.Bindeshwar Pathak Sulabh (sanitation)

Mr.Bindeshwar Pathak born in year 1943 in Bihar. Bindeshwar Pathak graduated in Sociology in 1964. He earned his master's degree in 1980 and his PhD in 1985, from the University of Patna. At young age, his grandmother once made him eat cowdung to purify himself, after contact with an untouchables. The same Brahmin boy grew up to lead a movement we know as SULABH. A revolution in toilets and a rightful place in society, for those who once cleaned them.

man who dreamed to become lecturer which was equivalent of becoming doctor and engineer of today. During his colleges days he was brilliant student but during his finals he scored low marks which he thinks was the dream breaking point of life. This is what he believed in Yeh mahatvapoorna hai ki jeevan mein mod aane lagte hain. Pehle ek, phir doosra, phir teesra..ab kis mod pe atkenge aap,yeh kehna mushkil hai.

He

tried hands in everything from being school teacher, doing any odd jobs to joining family business of selling ayurvedic medicines. A gandhi follower wanted to rid off caste system and so he started working with lower caste people. The Brahmin community used to make fun of him saying him Bhangi. A common man to great entrepreneur and a role model of Goodness.

Ishita khanna (Founder of SPITI ECOSPHERE)

khanna born in year 1977 in Dehradun was always in belief that she had different fascination towards Mountains and Environment. She completed her Masters in social work from Tata Institute of social science, Mumbai and felt in love with Spiti Valley. Little wonder that she took upon herself the role of saving the himalayas through ecosphere with help of locals of Spiti, Himachal Pradesh.

She

believed nature is real saver of world and we learn a lot from mountains as we are controlled by nature and it makes us humble. She also believed economic development and conservation to co-exist is possible. She started an NGO called Muse with her two colleagues with an aim for development of Spiti Valley. With innovative ideas and mastered marketing she grew the valley into tourism.

She

gives the credit to localites of Spiti for such advanced development. She says If you have an idea, you just have to do it. The more you give , more we get back. She also says Small changes you make in your own life, make a difference to environment

Mrs.Shaheen Mistri Founder- AKANSHA

Mistri is an Indian social activist and educator. Born in 1971 in Parsi family, Mumbai She had an upbringing from Saudi Arabia till United States. She is a founder of the Akanksha Foundation, an Indian educational initiative in Mumbai and Pune. She is CEO of Teach For India since 2008

Mistri, as a young college student, walked into the Mumbai slums and expressed her desire to teach the less privileged children who roamed the streets. In 1989 she started teaching students of Ambedkar Nagar slums during her college days. A mission started 20 years back Akanksha Foundation, which started with just 15 children in one centre, now teaches 3,500 children in 58 centres and six schools.

She

feels delighted to express that some of the children she started teaching when they were 3 and 4 are now in same college where she studied(St.Xavier's College). Shaheen believes A successful student is a best reward a teacher can get

There are 2 kinds of youth in India- one who choose to go and yell on TV and the others, who want to do something.For them,there is TEACH FOR INDIA.
