QWL

Introduction
Dissatisfaction with working life makes employee to leave the job. Excessive work load has made the employees overburdened and they have very less time for their family.

Keeping this problem into mind concept of QWL emerged.

QWL serves as a balance between employees working life and employees private life.
Practicing QWL in the organisation makes employees feel that they are the integral part of the organisation and organisation cares for them.

This feeling of employees in turn increase productivity and lowers absenteeism and increases stability of work force.

Ways to perform QWL


Quality circle: It is a voluntary association of workers.Here workers take up some problems that the organisation is facing and makes full use of their potential to solve the problem and arrive at a solution. It provides the worker sense of achievement. It makes them feel that they are an integral part of the organisation

QC in India
The Ramchandrapuram unit of BHEL at Hyderabad is perhaps the first to have pioneered the quality circle movement in India. The company today has nearly 1700 quality circles involving about 17,000 workers who have tackled over 6000 problems Some others are J.K. Jute, Bharat Electronics & HMT

Suggestion system schemes


Every employee of the organisation is allowed to give his suggestions regarding any problem that the organisation faces , or any suggestions for improvement. Organisations following this are: Hindustan Aeronautical Ltd Steel Authority of India Ltd Hindustan Unilever Larsen and Toubro

By going through this practice of QWL it can be concluded that organisations are making all efforts to strike a balance between employees working life and family life. And trying their best to give all its employees a happy and comfortable life.
