WHAT DOES A CENTRIFUGE DO?

In Industries like Chemical, Oil, and Food Processing, etc. solid materials often mix with liquids.

Therefore, water supplies might get contaminated.

A decanter centrifuge is useful in separating the solids from liquids. As a result, decanter centrifuges have become important equipment in all industries.

PRINCIPLE OF A DECANTER CENTRIFUGE

The theory of gravitational separation is the principle behind a decanter centrifuge.

Example: Fill a jar with a mixture of mud and water. After some time, gravity will cause the mud to settle down to the base of the glass.
Therefore, we will get a clear separation between the mud and water afterwards.

WORKING PRINCIPLE OF A DECANTER CENTRIFUGE

Step 1: The mixture is inserted into the centrifuge through a connecting pipe and onto a conveyor.

Step 2: The conveyor ushers the slurry mixture through a nozzle into the bowl area.
Step 3: The bowl rotates at high speeds to induce gravitational forces.

WORKING PRINCIPLE OF A DECANTER CENTRIFUGE

Step 4: High speed rotation separates the solid material from the liquid in a matter of seconds. Step 5: The conveyor delivers the solid material upwards, where it is discharged through a nozzle. Step 6: With the solid material removed, the purified liquid is released from a separate output.
