Orthogonal Vectors are vectors that are perpendicular to each other, meaning they form a right angle The vectors u and v are orthogonal if uv = 0 EXAMPLE: Are vectors u = <2,-3> and v = <6,4> orthogonal?

Work = F x D
F = the component force in the direction of motion D = distance

Example: A tractor pulls a log 800 meters, and the tension in the cable connecting the tractor and log is approximately 1600 kg. The direction of the force is 35 above the horizontal. Approximate the work done in pulling the log.
