Patient Age : 21 Pain Duration : 7 days Inability to open his mouth : 3 days

Medical history : type I DM


Examination : temperature : 38.3 pulse : 122 B/min

BP : 135/85
tenderness over the angle of the jaw and side of the face

Differential diagnosis

A) TONSILITIS
Not related with trismus

B) SUBMASSITRIC SAPCE INFECTION


Cause inflammatory edema

C) PAROTITIS
Swelling at the tempromandibular area

CELLULITIS

Drainage from the skin

DIAGNOSIS

Pericoronitis
