Philippine Revolution (1896-1898)


O Was a national struggle of the Filipino people for

freedom. This was the culmination of more than 100 uprisings against Spain, all of which were tribal uprisings which simply fizzled in failure. O The Philippine Revolution began in the hills of Balintawak on Aug. 26, 1896 as a Katipunan revolt of Tagalog masses under Supremo Andres Bonifacio, which failed largely because of Bonifacios successive defeats due to his military incompetency.
