Load calculations
Some common rules followed Never a hollow pipe or a scaffold tube shall be used to lift cable drums Never cross/stand under a suspended load/boom No man lift shall work directly under a boom during any erection. Look for any under ground services 3rd party certificate for operator should be for the particular crane only Before lifting any equipment check the exact weight, it could differ if the equipment was under purging ,then it could weigh more than the specified weight.(since nitrogen is heavier than ambience air). In case of adverse weather condition, or in emergency try to place the load , back in ground level or secure the load properly so it will not fall and cordon off the whole area. Use spreader bars for wide loads
