Cost Report
We had no problems with data-uploads even if more then 50% of the data has
been uploaded within the last 60 min. before deadline
Problems with misunderstanding of needed information in which document
Most of the Judges seem to be deep in the topic and well prepared
A few Judges had problems (have not been prepared well enough)
We heard of some rude judges we are really sorry for that! Judges should give
constructive feedback and not blame mistakes
We only see small differences between the different judge groups but we have still room for
improvements
Judges should have given you directly a long and detailed feedback at your car
There has been no explicit feedback form (like at the Design event)
Between Winner and 6th place only less then 2.5 Points (FSC)
Between Winner and 5th place only less then 3 Points (FSE)
Target should be to have an overall concept for your car which includes cost
aspects (and not only design aspects)
They are not responsible for making every part! Only for summariziation and questions!
Material
Each designer should check their parts and compare it to the drawing

Notes
All new parts which are needed have to be concidered in the Cost Report
If you have broken parts check if the spare parts look the same as the original (or have the
changes logged, too)
From your change log you generate the data needed for the changes on the upload section of
the FSG-Homepage for Cost Addendum
You have to fill in the information for every adjusted, new or removed part
Prepare explanations (details) for those changes like the normal print out with material,
process, fasteners (and toolings)
Have a min. of 1 better 2 copies of the printed Cost Report at the Event
Have the team involved for brainstorming and solving the Real Case
Show the Judges not only the result in numbers, but show your method
Visualiziations would be
good
The Complete BOM and all tables in one Excel-File (no drawings needed)
Otherwise the Judges are not able to understand your process and your parts
Electric Motor
For calculation the average/permanent power the Design Report/Spec-Sheet values are binding
Each clamping point has to be counted you need a min. of two clamping points for a welding
Monocoque
