Baggrund for dokumentet

I forlngelse af Sjldenhedsudvalget behandler fund af Orientsejlere,
har der helt naturligt vret spekuleret i, hvorvidt en Mursejler andet end
teoretisk vil kunne udvise en hvide overgump, der minder om karakteren
hos Orientsejler og for den sags skyld ogs Kaffersejler.
For at kunne fortage en sdan kvalificeret vurdering ud fra andet end
andenhnds oplysninger, har jeg fundet det relevant at forsge at
afdkke og sammenstille dokumenterede og udokumenterede
forekomster af Mursejler med hvidt i dragten.
Dokumentet vil lbende blive udbygget efterhnden som kilder bliver
tilgngeligere. Det er hensigten, at skabe en reference til brug ved
fremtidige vurderinger.

Common Swifts with partiel albinisme

On 9th May 2010, I photographed a partial albino Swift that resembled an

Alpine Swift in colouration and pattern. However, the bird was not bigger
than a Common Swift.

this partial albino swift was found by Andrew Credland this evening over Barton sailing
pit--a bird with virtually identical plumage was in the same area from April 28-30th
2004 and must surely be the same individual---note the large amounts of white on the
upper and lower body, upper and undertail coverts and some underwing coverts but
blackish wings
