INTRODUCTION
The first animatronics created by Disney are
the Enchanted Tiki Birds., Disneyland in
1963.The following are the creation of
animatronics
First use of Audio-Animatronics
Using digital controls
Tones were recorded on the tape, which on
playback would cause a metal reed to vibrate
The vibrating reed would close a circuit and
thus operate a relay.
The relay sent a pulse of energy(electricty)to
the figures mechanism which would cause a
pneumatic value to operate, which resulted in
the action, like the opening of a birds beak
At air pressure

ANIMATRONICS
Animatronics is a type of special
effect which involves mechanized
creature like imaginary animals to make
them alive.

HISTORY
1961 Walt Disney coins the term audioanimatronics and begins developing modern
animatronics technology
1963 The first animatronics created by
Disney are the Enchanted Tiki Birds.,
Disneyland
1963 The first animatronics figure of a person
is created and is Abraham Lincoln
1993(1993) The largest animatronics figure
ever built is the T. rex for the movie,
Jurassic Park.
2008(2008) Mr. Potato Head at the Toy Story
exhibit features lips with superior range of
movement to any other animatronics figure
previously. Disney's Hollywood Studios

This department crates the molds that

will ulimately produce the charctr skis.
Molds can be soft or hard, single or
multiple pieces,and reusable or nonreusable
After the mold is finished and cured,it
is ready for skin making.Fiberglass shells
are simultaneously being laid up to from
the body and limb shapes.

o Each individual parts requires a custom

design and fabrication.
o Each of the robots movement axis
point must have an industrial rated
bearing to provide action and long life.
o The technicians select those
components carefully in order to ensure
the durablity and long life

The outlift has to allow for easy access to

the characters operating mechanisms.It
must also look normal after movemnet
has taken place.
The costume must be designed to provide
hundreds or thousands of operations
without wearing out and without causing
the skin areas(i.e around the necks or
wrists)to breakdown as well.

Programming is the final step,some

animations is the most

rewarding.Programm
Ing can be done either at the
manufacturing
facility or at the inatallation site.
In programming,all the indvidual moves
are
coordinated into complex animated
actions
brings life

GAMES:
In 2014, popular horror video-game "
Five Nights at Freddy's" portrayed four murderous
animatronic characters named Bonnie the Bunny, Chica
the Chicken, Foxy the Pirate Fox, and their leader Freddy
Fazbear, who were the main antagonists in the game. A
sequel, "Five Nights at Freddy's 2" includes more
animatronic beings, all determined to slaughter the
player.

ADVERTISMENT:

The Slowskys was an advertising campaign for Comcast

Cable's XfinitybroadbandInternet service. The ad features
two animatronic turtles, and it won the gold Effie Award in
2007
