What is customs? Customs is a government agency
that monitors who and what enters a country.
How it works1. Obtain and fill out customs and immigration documents on
board your flight (US Customs)
2. Give your passport and documents to the customs desk
officer for review and questioning
3. Proceed to baggage claim to pick up your items

STUDY ABROAD
Why study abroad? Study abroad is a chance for a student to
travel to another country for a chosen amount of time to learn
about your major and about the cultures of that particular
country.
UNCC Study Abroad Programs
1. Faculty Led Programs- led by UNCC faculty members that typically
focus on a specific subject or foreign language and travel with the
students
2. Affiliate Programs- not controlled through UNCC, they are through third
party providers of Study Abroad Programs
3. Exchange Programs- the student lives with a host family in another
country for the chosen semester and study at the local university
(Programs).
