ROTRACT CLUB OF EWU

Rotaract Club of East West

University (RCEWU) achieved
Charter Certificate on June 6,
2006. It is a Rotary-sponsored
service club for young men
and women ages 18 to 30. It
is an international club with
more than 7000 clubs in
about 163 countries. From its
inception the club has been
involved in various activities
and it is now one of the
leading clubs of East West
University. RCEWU has proved
to be a promising club.

THE TELLECOMUNICATION CLUB

The East West University

Telecommunications Club
(EWUTC) was formed by a group
of enthusiastic students in early
2006. The objective of the club is
to disseminate telecommunication
related ideas among the students.
EWUTC is rapidly making an
impression within the University
as one of its most active student
run clubs. The Clubs primary goal
is to help the students blend the
academic theories that they study
in classrooms with innovative
ideas that result in their mind as a
byproduct and thereby put
forward something new.

THE DEBATING CLUB

The

objective of the East West

University Debating Club (EWUDC) is
to promote oratory skill and
discipline, build fraternity among
debaters is the main objective of the
EWUDC. It also aims at spreading
the culture of seeking knowledge
and encouraging positive discourses
through debating both on campus,
in-country and worldwide. This year
EWU Debate teams participated in
several inter-universities debating
championships and became runners
up and secured the fourth position in
the National Debating Championship
2007 organized by Uttara University.

University Poetry & Drama
Club (EPDC) & East West
University Shangshkritik
Shangha (EWUSS) merged
together and re-introduced
the club as East West
University Club for
Performing Arts (ECPA).
When its about performance
on drama, songs, dance,
recitation etc in
EWU............its all about
ECPA.

This Club is the oldest Club of East

West University and the main
motive of this club is to improve
the English Speaking ability of the
students.
Mission
We try to keep you thinking....... in
English.
Description
This club substantially focuses on
the "Chat Session" where every
student has to speak in English
about any specific purpose. Thus
,it helps to improve your ability in
speaking in English and here the
tips of "how to become a good
public speaker" are also taught.
Sonia Sharmin, a senior Lecturer
of the English Department of The
East West University, is the current
moderator of this club. She is
available on the 8th floor of the
DDC Building.
