When he started coaching the Victoria de Guimares
Football Club, this club was at 12th position. By the end of
the season, the team was already at the 6th position. just
one goal away from the 5th position

he started coaching when of the major teams Sporting
Club de Portugal.

Paos de Ferreira is a team of the portuguese
championchip, struggling to stay on the major league. It
has reached its goal, by staying on the first league on the
10th position. It has also achieved an historical event for
the club, by being on of the finalists of the Portugal CUP,
the second most important event. It has also lead the team
to one of the european competition. The team has also
been a finalist of the Portugal Super Cup

Victoria de Guimaraes football club, hires Paulo Sergio to

(GUIMARES)
The Victoria Sport Club (Guimares) is a club of great
prestige in the Portuguese Football scene. Assuming the
coaching of Victoria with only 7 points in the standings and
in a position near the places that provide access to
relegation, made an enormously good performance in the
league, putting the team in 6th position with the same
points of the 5th place (the difference in goal-average, 1
goal), eliminating from the Cup of Portugal to the then
National Champion SL Benfica being the only team to beat
them
in
their
stadium
this
season.

Due to the fantastic work done in a short time and in small

portuguese clubs, Sporting Clube de Portugal hires Paulo
Sergio to coach its major football team.

 As coach of SPORTING CLUBE PORTUGAL

Sporting CP is a club that traditionally struggles for the
Portuguese Football Title. In a time of major restructuring
in senior management and weak financial resources,
Sporting CP with Paulo Sergio as coach starts the season
with the squad still to be settled. However, there win the
Challenge Tournament New York 2010 (Tottenham,
Manchester City and New York Red Bull). Reaches the
group stage of the European League with a sensational
twist in the marker when he has lost in Alvalade for
Brondby IF 0-2, won 0-3 at Brondby Stadion (Denmark). In
the group stage with great merit won Group C (Lille OSC;
Levsky Sofia; KAA Gent) with 4 wins and 2 losses, winning
two times by five goals (5-0, 5-1), being eliminated by the
Rangers FC last minute discounts. He finished his work at
Sporting CP leaving in the 3rd position of the table.

But strugling with financial problems,during the season he had a hard w
to do because of wages delay,in january 5 of the best players as to lea

Despite all these problems,he achieve the title play offs(top 6),and the
That gives the club a Europe league position in the next season.
He WIN the SCOTISH CUP beatting in the final their rival from the city o
(Hibernian) with the score of 5-1,after beatting in semi-final the champi

Started this job on the 12th game of the season with the team in the
10th position of the classification ,on the winter break the team
already was on the 5th position.
He did a fantastic UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE(10 POINTS,the same as
Galatsaray),with a great victory at
OLD TRAFFORD against
MANCHESTER UNITED.
In january the club sold 5 importante players and didnt replace
them,so the secund part of the season wasnt so brilliant and he just
leave the club with a friendly decision.
