Is one of the processes which involves


various part of our body work together
to carry out a task
Our body activities are controlled and
regulated by 2 systems of coordination,
nervous system and endocrine system

Allows us to avoid situations that
can endanger our body
It coordinates all body activities to
produce responses
It allows us to adapt ourselves to the
changing environment

Brain- the master organ of
coordination
The nervous system controls:
1. Senses
2. Memory and thinking
3. Speech
4. Voluntary actions and
physical movement
5. Involuntary actions such as
breathing, heartbeat and
digestion

The endocrine system controls:


1. Growth
2. Sexual maturation
(development from a girl
into a woman and a boy
into a man)
3. Level glucose in blood
4. Amount of water in the
body
