The size of the editorial department depends on:

1.Number of pages a daily carries


2.Number of editions published from that
place

Many big newspapers have now started

places.
This is basically done for two reasons:
1.To increase circulation by covering more
cities and towns
2.To increase the volume of advertising in
extended areas
