Getting to Know All About
EC2 @ AISB

Routines
School begins at 8:00. Children can be dropped off on our playground from
7:40 where early morning supervision is provided.
Dismissal is be at 2:50 (2:00 on Wednesday) from the classroom.
Changes in afternoon pick-up should be sent to the office before noon.
If for any reason your child will be leaving early, please sign him/her out in
the office.

Assessing and Reporting

We will use the following tools to monitor each childs


individual progress:
- observation recorded as anecdotal notes
- interviews
- examples of children's work
- photographs
- video and audio recording
- developmental milestones

Make sure your child


gets 10 to 11 hours of
sleep.
Make sure your child
eats a healthy
breakfast.
Arrive at school with
a happy child, knowing
he/she will be loved
and cared for.

Read to and spend


quality time with
your child
everyday.
Celebrate every
little progress your
child is making.

What you can do as


parents?

Children with
temperatures or
those who have
vomited or had
diarrhea in the last
24 hours, should
remain at home.
Help keep us all
healthy and happy!

If your child is
absent please
email the
school/teacher.

Keep your teacher


informed and be
mindful of
speaking about
your child in
his/her presence.

What you can do as


parents?

Housekeeping Items
4 sets of clothes, including
socks, underwear, pants, and
shirts, anda pair of hard
soled shoes should be kept in
your childs cubby. Shoes
should rubber soled and easy
for your child to take on and
off (Velcro, instead of laces,
please). Pleaselabel each
article, including the shoes,
with your childs name.
Send in or
family photos.

A small pillow, a bed


sheet, and a blanket for
your childs nap time. All
items should be taken home
each Friday for washing and
returned to school at the
start of each week.

Birthday Parties: fruit


cakes or fruit kebabs.

Rain gear (water-resistant


pants, jacket and boots)
should be kept at school.

sure that your child has
nutritious foods.
