TheAustralian Institute of
Interpreters and
Translators(AUSIT) is the
professional association for
translatorsandinterpretersin
Australia.
AUSIT has a membership over 750
interpreters and translators across
Australia.
AUSIT is affiliated with the

AUSIT was founded in 1987, when it
brought together existing local
associations and specialist groups in
Australia. Today AUSIT has branches
in every state and territory of the
country.

TICPD
TICPD is meant to be a portal for continuous
professional development resources for professional
translators and interpreters in Australia. Given that
many of the resources are web-based, T&I professionals
from other countries will find this resource library useful
as well.
TICPD is run by AUSIT (The Australian Institute of
Interpreters and Translators) in cooperation with ASLIA
(The Australian Sign Language Interpreters' Association)
and (partly) funded/sponsored by NAATI (The National
Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters).

TICPD is run by AUSIT in cooperation with the

online portal for continuous professional
development TICPD provides professional
development resources for professional
translators and interpreters in Australia. New
files explaining Continuous Professional
Development (CPD) record keeping have been
published and are available atwww.ticpd.com.

Professional Development Sessions
AUSIT has a deep commitment to enhancing
the professional status of its members. As
such, the Institute requires members to
adhere to the appropriate professional code
of conduct and ethical guidelines, and
places a growing emphasis on the need for,
and importance of, Continuing Professional
Development (CPD).
