Dry clutch means no oil in the plate

is known as dry clutch.

It is used in our scooter.

inter leaved with several
driven member`
It is used in motor cycle
and some diesel
locomotives with
mechanical transmission..
This is the most common
type of on modern type of
vehicles.

SINGLE PLATE CLUTCH

Single plate clutch
means the power
transmits from by
using one clutch plate
& one friction plate
Now a days it is not
used in our two
wheelers because its
size is very large

CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH

It works on the base of

centrifugal force.
Here the friction is
made by centrifugal

HOW IT IS WORKS?
Shoes and drum plate are rotated freely,
When we give the acceleration now the shoes are
expanded and it is catch the drum plate.
Now it is rotated with drum plate.

CONE CLUTCH
The cone clutch is an axially actuated
clutch.Cone clutches are not used
widely now and are generally used
for low peripheral speed applications.
The cone angle is always above 8o
and is normally between 12o and
15o.if the angle is less than this
value than the clutch is liable to jam
in engagement.
