How it Works?

DEFINITION

A combination of hardware and software which

together form a component of a larger machine.
An example of an embedded system is a
microprocessor that controls an automobile engine.
An embedded system is designed to run on its own
without human intervention, and may be required to
respond to events in real time.

APPLICATIONS AREAS
Medical Systems
Pace maker, patient monitoring systems,
injection systems, intensive care units,
Office Equipment
Printer, copier, fax,
Tools
Multimeter, oscilloscope, line tester, GPS,
Banking
ATMs, statement printers,
Transportation
(Planes/Trains/[Automobiles] and Boats)
Radar , traffic lights, signalling systems,

LOW COST OSCILLOSCOPE

oscilloscope,
previously called an
oscillograph

Professional oscilloscope costs

1000 s of rupees
High price , leads out of reach
from students
Soul purpose to design a device
with in reach for students to use

Why Oscilloscope
it is a type ofelectronic test
instrumentthat allows
observation of constantly varying
signalvoltages, usually as a twodimensional plot of one or more
signals as a function of time.

The requirements of the

oscilloscope were three-fold
1)cost less than Rs. 1000
2)capture frequencies over
the range 20Hz20kHz,
and
3) constructible with a basic
soldering iron and limited
soldering skills.
