segments each of which tends to be
homogeneous in all significant aspects.

1. Market opportunities:

Marketing segmentation
enables the market to identify the market
opportunities . Generally , a marketing
segmentation arises when there is a gap
between customer expectations and current
product offering by the existing firms.

2. Product development:
Market segmentation help in
designing products that match the demands of
the target audience. Product with good market
potential may be designed to generate
customer satisfaction.

3.Promotional-mix:
A company can develop appropriate promotion-mix depending
upon the market segment.
