How to start a low cost, high quality T-Shirt brand? | want to start a store, that sells T-Shirts of a new brand (own brand), at just for Rs. 199 flat, As | know from the mentality and the market trend around my place (Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh), | have decided to open such a store in a prime location (say, a mall), which attracts people well. The cost of selling that | have been thinking is from Rs. 200 to Rs. 300 per Tee. But, there area lot more widely known brands, stores and websites that offer T-Shirts at Rs.259 or Rs.249. So, my target is Rs. 199. Now comes the biggest challenge. | can be beneficial, only if the margin per piece is Rs. 90-100. So, the production cost should be Rs. 100 to Rs- 110 max. Would any manufacturer give the product for such a price, including branding and a little printing? If not, the other option is to start manufacturing. So, if no manufacturer is able to provide for that cast, how much is it needed to set up the machinery? And where to find them? The basic production target would be 200 pieces per day. Can you please suggest any machines (preferably fully automatic cutting and stitching) that can do that with minimal man power, and their approximate costs? And machines that can print on any part of the Tee. And, as this is entirely new tous, can you please suggest me in reducing the costs even more, without compromising on quality.
