REGULOME

What is regulome?

Gene regulation is a major cellular process underlying the

central dogma of molecular biology, encoding the sophisticated
biochemical cascades that drive cellular behavior and
development (Ruth, 2014)

Gene regulatory network in the cell that lead

to different patterns of gene expression.
Two-component regulatory systems (2CRS)

1. Membran spanning sensors

2. Cytoplasmic transcription factor (Kendall, 2012)

The example of regulome

NRF2 (NF-E2-related factor 2, NFE212) is a master transcription factor
of Oxidative and Xenobiotic stress response. NFR2 influencing
carcinogenesis, inflamation and neurodegeneration.

35 TFs regulated by NFR2 influence 63 miRNAs that down

regulate NFR2.
The presented network may facilitate the development of efficient,
NFR2 based therapeutic agents (Papp, 2012)
