Three Thanksgiving

John 21:15-18

When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon


Peter, Simon son of John, do you truly love me
more than these? Yes, Lord, he said, you know
that I love you. Jesus said, Feed my lambs.
(John 21:15)




( 21:15)

Again Jesus said, Simon son of John, do you truly


love me? He answered, Yes, Lord, you know that I
love you. Jesus said, Take care of my sheep.
(John 21:16)



( 21:16)

The third time he said to him, Simon son of John,


do you love me? Peter was hurt because Jesus
asked him the third time, Do you love me? He
said, Lord, you know all things; you know that I
love you. Jesus said, Feed my sheep.
(John 21:17)




( 21:17)

I tell you the truth, when you were younger you


dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but
when you are old you will stretch out your hands,
and someone else will dress you and lead you
where you do not want to go.
(John 21:18)



( 21:18)

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord


Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the
heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing
in Christ.
(Ephesians 1:3)

For he chose us in him before the creation of


the world to be holy and blameless in his
sight. In love
(Ephesians 1:4)


( 1:4)

He predestined us to be adopted as his


sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance
with his pleasure and will
(Ephesians 1:5)

And he made known to us the mystery of


his will according to his good pleasure,
which he purposed in Christ,
(Ephesians 1:9)

When the Gentiles heard this, they were


glad and honored the word of the Lord; and
all who were appointed for eternal life
believed.
(Acts 13:48)

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he


was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment
that brought us peace was upon him, and by
his wounds we are healed.
(Isaiah 53:5)

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each


of us has turned to his own way; and the
LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
(Isaiah 53:6)

Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection


and the life. He who believes in me will
live, even though he dies;
(John 11:25)


( 11:25)

And whoever lives and believes in me will


never die. Do you believe this?
(John 11:26)


( 11:26)

Simon Peter answered, You are the Christ,


the Son of the living God.
(Matthew 16:16)


( 16:16)

For God so loved the world that he gave


his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have
eternal life.
(John 3:16)

( 3:16)

To them God has chosen to make known among


the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery,
which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
(Colossians 1:27)

In whom are hidden all the treasures of


wisdom and knowledge.
(Colossians 2:3)

But you will receive power when the Holy


Spirit comes on you; and you will be my
witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and
Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
(Acts 1:8)

The third time he said to him, Simon son of John,


do you love me? Peter was hurt because Jesus
asked him the third time, Do you love me? He

Therefore go and make disciples of all


nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit,
(Matthew 28:19)

Impress them on your children. Talk about


them when you sit at home and when you
walk along the road, when you lie down and
when you get up.
(Deuteronomy 6:7)

I tell you the truth, when you were younger you

Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death


by which Peter would glorify God. Then he
said to him, Follow me!
(John 21:19)

Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus


loved was following them. (This was the one who
had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and
had said, Lord, who is going to betray you?)
(John 21:20)



( 21:20)

When peter saw him, he asked, Lord, what


about him?
(John 21:21)


( 21:21)

Jesus answered, If I want him to remain


alive until I return, what is that to you? You
must follow me.
(John 21:22)

( 21:22)

to stand as the withnesses in Gods word.
