We are going to learn the effective strategies before,
during, and after reading with a focus on sixth grade
and above for reading nonfiction texts.

Pre-reading strategies guide the reader to
make important decisions before reading

Survey the text: read the first and last paragraphs and
the beginning and final sentences of the other
