EVOLUTION
In 1669 Idol of shrinathji was moved from Vrindavan to
nathdwara(then village Sihal) under a threat of destruction
from Aurangzeb.
Town is based along the banks of river Banas.

One Arterial road is NH 8 connecting Udaipur Rajsamand, also acting as an edge of the own.
There is no dominant street pattern, as the town grew organically.
Hilly terrain of the region has influenced the street structure.
